'parallel expressions', a work for viola, video art and electronics, is based on the idea of showing two similar processes coming from different sources in parallel. One of the processes is the one that develops organically in a video art created by Candaş Şişman to be projected during the course of the work. The other is the process of "decomposition" and "soiling" of the material that will occur in the viola, in which electronics will have a lot to do. It is impossible to deny that there is a certain synchrony at some points in the work between the viola, the video art and the electronic part, but what is mainly intended is that each one, despite being part of a whole, has its own entity during the work.
The electronics, spread by stereo pair (PA), has been composed using Ableton Live software, through synthesis, sampling, mixing and automation of pre-existing sounds modified or generated from zero. Its role in the work will be to gradually take the lead and occupy the sonic place of the viola, "dirtying" and "disintegrating" its sound even more than it already is, until it finally becomes a residue.
