A short orchestral piece I wrote for the "Lone Bunny Crunchtime ost jam 04"  the piece is about battling for your freedom, based on the theme of Freedom from the ost jam

To Be Free

This is our submission to OST Composing Crunchtime Jam 04.

We used both the image and the text prompt as inspiration for our project. The outlined window stilts brought about by the contrast between the bright and dark colors of the picture made us think of thoughts (or even mentalities) that trap people from living the life they want to live. This is also apparent from the female figure reaching her hand out to the lights of the darkened room as well as the shadow of the bird (which is often a symbol of agency and the ability to move beyond the current circumstances). 

For This EP, we chose to make a mixed-electronica soundtrack, blending between dark atmospheric textures/ambiences and more melodic material as a way to bridge the conceptual gap between metaphorical chains that constrains people and the key that allows people to be free of their constraints 

01 - Chaotic Blooming (BGM for a cutscene whereby we introduce the MC and the problem of escaping a prison that takes place inside of their mind)
02 - The Fight For Freedom (BGM for the climax and resolution of the MC’s journey, breaking out of the mental prison and dealing with the aftermath)
03 - Sunlight Washes The Stilts (BGM for End Credits Cutscene of MC’s Journey, where the MC is able to smile and pursue their passion)
