My name is Alex Denholm.
I am an accomplished Musician, DJ and Producer.
I have recently achieved a Batchelor of Arts Degree with First Class Honours in Professional Sound Production specialising in Creative Sound Design.
I have recently spent time writing in Ibiza and compiling my new material in Arizona, USA, preparing them for release with Tronic Session. Demonstrating the full spectrum of my abilities from crisp engineering to blazing guitar licks, my signature crossover style saturates all tracks on my latest arsenal of banging floor-fillers.
Having started my production career in Cape Town with African Dope Soundsystem, I soon established my place in the South African music
scene and started performing live and DJ’ing at large outdoor festivals and parties under the artist name Juan Thyme.
Word soon spread about my skills and it wasn’t long before I found
myself performing in the UK festival scene at Glastonbury, The Secret
Garden Party, Glade, Noisily, Wilderness and the Rabbit Hole, to name but a few. I have been seen working my magic in the dust of the Burning Man and recently performed at the Neon Carnival after-party in Palm Springs.
I currently host a radio show called Radio Love which is broadcast weekly by Mutha FM which is South Africa’s premier underground electronic music station and I have been with them since the early pirate days.
Incorporating deep grooves with melodic undercurrents, my unique sound is sure to appeal to a wide variety of electronic music lovers.
