Violeta Parra, folklorista y cantautora chilena, hizo esta canción como parte de su último disco. La versión original, tocada con un charango, transmite la melancolía y la tristeza por un amor que se fue. Sin embargo , pueden notarse trazos sutiles de la ira y el enojo por ello, sentimientos que en otras canciones se encuentran a flor de piel ( maldigo del alto cielo, que he sacado con quererte, por ejemplo). Proponemos por ello, una interpretación más agresiva, para desarrollar mejor el enojo y la ira, tratando de no dejar de lado, la tristeza.

Cumbia, born in Colombia and Panamá, is nowadays  a rhythm of whole South America. This one is from a Mexican singer, Marco Antonio Solis. Made in a more orchestral style in the original version, it suits well just from guitars , classical ( the percussion is from the guitar case) and electric. Enjoy!

Yeah. Iconic song from the 90´s, from iconic band Red Hot Chili Peppers, a complete song to study and learn about rhythm, and more complex bass and guitar techniques and sounds, thanks to Frusciante and Flea. Chad and Anthony are awesome too in this song, which results in a compact piece of musical relevance, very hearty, and groovy also. Been playing this song for like more than ten years, and i´m pleases to have put together a cover that sounds like this. I really like it a lot. ENjoy!
