A young artist entering the music industry with the hopes of immersing listeners into her wild world, Juanita Porteiro is one fresh face to keep an eye on. Seizing every opportunity to perform, record and/or write music, it very quickly became a dream of hers to pursue a life in the industry. Although Juanita is known for her energetic stage presence, her studio recordings tend to hit more of a relaxed, sweet vibe that is easy to get lost in. Juanita’s sound is influenced by a range of artists such as Mac Miller, Anderson Paak., Billie Eilish and more. All of which inspire her to consistently reach new levels of creativity within her work. 

In 2020 Juanita wrote and produced the foundation of her album, later that year she was introduced to Alex Brollo, a multi-instrumentalist, artist, and producer. The two developed the project into the mastered version that was released, with each track flowing into each other in sequence. This was done intentionally to evoke the gradual flow of freedom/growth that comes with opening up your mind. ‘Speak Your Mind’ is the 3rd track on the record and was released as the single in June of 2021. Following that, ‘Mind This For Me’ was published in July that year. Since then, she has joined forces with other Australian artists releasing singles including Let You In and Sentimental, with more set to release in the coming months.
