Q. How would you describe yourself?
A. I would describe myself as someone that definitely lets music speak for itself. Whatever vibe you hear me play, is how I feel. djing for me is the best way i can execute who I am and how to connect with the listener. 

Q. How long have you been a part of the NY music scene?
A. I’ve been a part of NYC scene for about 5 years now. 

Q. Tell us a little bit about this mix.
A. This mix is some of my top favorite underground hiphop classics. A lot of dope women in this mix as well which is always important for me to include in everything I do. Making this mix had me revisit a lot of times in my life so definitely was an emotional one to make. Hiphop will always be my one true love and something i’ll always find my way back to. Hopefully you enjoy this just as much as i did making it. Peace and love.

Running through selections at turns funky and freaky, Mediumship, the collaboration between Addison L. and Seance Michael makes the most of dancefloor euphoria. Having worked together on Buffalo's Ghost Stories party, the pair's shared taste for brain-erasers, corkscrew techno and acidic interludes shines bright here, a live set from this past summer's "Where's My Tent" fest upstate.

Hashman Deejay stands out as one of those DJ's and producers where he lets the music do the talking. Like fellow collaborators PLO Man & C3D-E you won't see many interviews, let alone photos - they show up to the party and do their thing. 
With a vast range of alias' and collaborative projects Hashman has been responsible for some of the rawest sounds in experimental, breaks, house and techno. As well as a DJ his vast taste can expand anywhere from shoegaze and punk, disco and raw chicago sounds, to dubbed acid and techno. 
For this mix the selector has dug deep into the tape hiss sounding crates covering oldschool beats that could be mistaken for an OG Ras G tape, dub flowing onwards into some select acid house and more synth focused club sounds all working together with the most seamless touch. We had a very brief chat with Hashman about his mix but this one is all about the sounds and he lets that do the talking.
