I love how weird and spacey Lydian mode can sound, especially with the right textures. That wasn’t weird enough on its own, so I put things in 5/4 time. That *still* wasn’t weird enough, so I switched to a 5:4 polyrhythm to make time more ambiguous and set the whole thing adrift. I like the contrast between the sharp percussive sounds and how floaty everything else is.
