If you are into Techno Music, you may have already come across one of D.A.V.E. The Drummer’s records. 

Hailing from London’s illegal warehouse party scene that exploded in the 90’s, DJ & producer D.A.V.E. The Drummer started the label Hydraulix in 1998 as an output for his own production ideas. The label intended to bridge the gap between the acid techno of his previous productions and a darker style of techno that D.A.V.E. was experimenting with in the studio.

 Hydraulix made some big waves in the Hard Techno scene throughout the 2000’s and is still going strong with many of the new releases hitting the top spots in the Beatport Charts. Tracks from Hydraulix have found their way into the playlists of some of the worlds top DJs as well as keeping a huge following of underground Techno DJs across the globe.D.A.V.E’s recent music reflects a shift toward a darker stripped back techno sound and the label is still at the forefront of the techno scene winning respect from many DJs and taking on board fresh young artists as well as releasing tracks by seasoned Hydraulix regulars.

Still a hard working DJ and Producer, & currently running his weekly Sunday Session show during lockdown with wife Justine doing visuals D.A.V.E. is responsible for remixes and productions for many top techno labels including: Suara, Dolma, Finder, Techburst, Harthouse, Fine Audio, Noom, Reklusive, Respect, Naked Lunch, Phobiq, Elektrax, Techburst, Cluster, Stay Up Forever, Maximum Minimum, Routemaster, Smitten, Prolekult, Nucleas, Vcious Circle and of course Hydraulix, Apex and Mutate To Survive.

The identity of this project is not well defined, even less if it's just a hypothetical concept rather than a life form. Born in the heart of the east Berlin, influenced by the well known techno-culture's mecca. SLV stains the vibes with melancholic sounds driven by dark and cold grooves. SLV's flawless productions have already garnered attention from Tale of Us, Ilario Alicante, Slam, and Cleric to name a few.

SLV told us when he records a podcast, he doesn’t have a specific plan in mind, but instead he goes by emotions. When he was little, he grew up listening to dance / trance a lot, of course, we’re talking about the 90s here and those influences have defined his childhood. This set encapsulates some of the sound of those years with many tracks of contemporary (and not) artists, SLV wants to convey past and present emotions to listeners while we navigate this historical moment of our life, hoping to return to dance together more than before soon.
