Juan Ramón Mateos (January 2000) is a composer, music producer and sound enthusiast born in the Andalusian town of Córdoba, Spain.

"The desire to express myself through music is practically an innate instinct engraved in the most intimate part of my being".

This reality coupled with the fact of the continuous interest in understanding and mentally shelling out songs and sounds that caught his attention, made Juan Ramon began to be interested in music and receive basic musical training at the age of 14. In those years he received some guitar, piano and solfeggio lessons at a music academy in his city of birth, but it was not until 2016 when he began to handle audio workstations and specialized software in composition. In 2018, the year in which he began his university studies in Madrid, he had to leave the academy and went on to continue exploring the world of music in a self-taught way, researching sounds and musical resources.

Since then, he has participated in several small independent audiovisual and theater projects as a composer, even being awarded in the film festival Daganzo Trascámara for a joint work with singer and actress Paula Mori.  He understands that his great interest and effort in improving skills and musical knowledge, has allowed his work to begin to be valued. 

Within the musical world he has also had the opportunity to participate as sound manager in four university competitions (2020, 2021 and 2022), where he played roles as varied as mic'ing and wiring equipment and stage, acting as a live technician (using professional tables and equipment), directing and coordinating work teams, recording and post-producing the concert for later publication on social networks, etc. 

On the other hand, Juan Ramón is currently working on his first studio album, which will be inspired by his career as a producer and sound aficionado, highly influenced by great composers of new age, soundtracks and electronica. This album will encompass a lengthy multi-track audio mixing work, but will also be intended to be performed live. 

His comfort in working closely with directors and audiovisual producers allows him to create soundtracks that faithfully adapt to the ideas and inspirations of the authors, developing creations that merge faithfully with the works and allowing them to generate the desired emotions.
