One of the exponents of the international Progressive House scene signs a release on Warung Recordings for the first time. We are talking about Khen, DJ and music producer who integrates the notable generation of Israeli producers within the genre, alongside icons like Guy J, Guy Gerber and Guy Mantzur.

"Maple EP" is a release of two songs, "Maple" and "Some Little Secrets". The title-track is prog house at its best shape: striking and dry beat, which delivers the rhythm as melodic layers of pads are gradually emerging, in progress. The tone is of an epic journey, charged with emotion; close to two minutes, when piano notes and synthesizers enter the scene and take the lead, the skin prickles, with the feeling that something great is about to happen.

"Some Little Secrets" is more minimalist and tribal, being closer to organic and tech house. Here, the imposing and elongated melodies give way to a synth riff that is stretched in a loop during the track, while a tropical beat builds its base. Around four and a half minutes, we are enveloped in a powerful break that, as it clears the rhythmic part, delivers layers and layers of reverb synth, until it explodes at the climax.

This is the #43 release of Warung Recordings and the first by Khen on our label — who developed a special relationship with Warung since 2019, when he first played four hours at one of our 17 year anniversary parties.

People seem to get very excited about Lost & Found as a label. People also get excited by a Guy J Remix. So its time for some musical mental breakdowns of excitement as Guy J delivers 3 new remixes for Lost & Found, and boy are they remixes to be excited about. 3 monsters previously on Guys fine imprint, all given a whole new interoperation for you lucky people.

So first up, Guy J works his magic on Guy Mantzur and Sahar Z's monster 'Time To Treasure'. Adding beautiful warm textures, dreamy edges, but with a constant swaggering techier groove underpinning this groove, and it is a groove, not a breakdown in sight. Tasty stuff. Of course.

Spanish supremo Henry Saiz has been remixed By Guy before, and vice versa, and collaborations a plenty, so no surprise that Guy reworks a track for Henry, but this far from takes away any excitement that this gem will bring to both sets of fans. Think sunshine, think smiles, think dreamy warmth and a bouncy, almost 80s tinged vibe, and then triple it, and we're kind of in the right ballpark. Hot!

Rounding things off, a rare glimpse in to Guys tougher edge, as he takes on Pedro Aguiar - Ego Tripping. Solid and infectious is the way here, as this electronic slab of filth gently lulls you, gradually expanding as it expands in to a hypnotic teeth-clenching gem of filthiness.

Artist's note: “When I was younger I remember perfectly the first times I heard at some clubs the Different Gear remix of this music and I get stuck right away with the guitar riffs, the hypnotic melody synth and, of course, the vocal from Sia. The progressive percussions took us to beautiful peaceful journeys in our heads while listening. It’s a remix which stands out all over the world and definitively one of my best classics. So i decided to grab the vocal and make my interpretation in my way, with my mood and feeling. It was curious cause the feedback was amazing after doing it, my closer ones really enjoyed the new “face” i putted with Sia’s vocal. The instrumental version cames because of Hernan Cattaneo, asking me if I could send him without the vocal, to be honest I never thought on that. And there she is! Hope you enjoy it!
