Emerged from the atomic-mass (ashes of Bacnotan Cement now called Holcim Cement) Province of La Union. The band started their sessions when all of the members were 16-18 years of age.

The band already came from numerous line- ups, from Kathleen Buccat to Eduardo “Jebong” Carig, on Vocals.  Pjay-Ducala to Robert Gail Bagamaspad to Allan Galvez to Janry Buccat, on Lead Guitars but Jerome Fernandez on Drums and the Corpuz Brothers (Winlslee John “Weejay” Corpuz on Bass and Hanzel Corpuz on Keyboards/Guitars) remained as the original members.

K.Buccat left the band on 2006, she cited some reasons like she can no longer bare the prank jokes of the other members :D 

On late 2011,  W. Corpuz asked K. Buccat to join for a session but she refused to rejoin the band.

On early 2007, P. Ducala was forced to leave the band because of his other job commitments, during this time, the band hired a voaclist, J. Carig and a guitarist, R. Bagamaspad. They immediately answered the call and did their duties well during their period and until now they’re still a session members, but the band is still deciding for Carig on a permanent basis. 

Because of other commitments, R. Bagamaspad  decided to leave the band on 2009  and was  unable to fulfill his guitar duties, he was replaced by A. Galvez a classmate of J. Fernandez. J. Fernandez met A. Galvez on 2006 and during that time they were already having sessions and performs regularly during the school's activities.

On 2010 Galvez left the band because of other commitments, he was succeeded by Janry Buccat to fill in his position

On mid 2010, the remaining members decided to put the band on a hiatus to pursue each career.

On 2011, P. Ducala became the vocalist and the composer of most of the songs. The band decided to reform with the session musicians, Janry Gil Buccat, was asked to work on guitar parts for the band recordings “Kwentuhan”, “First Day of Smile” & “Open Happiness”.  Buccat is a technical player, he can easily create challenging solo guitar parts that can fit exactly for each song.  He cited his influences namely Vai, Slash, Santana, A7x, Petrucci, Rocksteddy, Rivermaya etc.  

Early 2012 ,band members decided to record their songs separately because of rising tensions.

The band will take another hiatus because of unexpected circumstances, P. Ducala, left the band for the third time for unknown reasons, he was not able to talk with other members before he quit. J Buccat also quited the band because of his fulfillment on his own band, meanwhile R. Bagamaspad is no longer in the scene, allegedly he need to pursue his other career. 

J. Fernandez and W. Corpuz is planning to record new songs for the unfinished yet untitled new album, Fernandez stated: "Ive already done with the drum tracks but we are still looking forward to have much time and ideas before we clean the shelves." Maybe we can finish the record before the year ends." It takes a lot of patience "– W. Corpuz added. Meanwhile, P. Ducala is having a record on his own and will try to release it in his own label.

Now, JUANTERA is planning to ask P. Ducala to join the band again as permanent member.  The band line-up is not yet final, except Jerome Fernandez, Weejay Corpuz & Hanzel Corpuz as the permanent member.
