Jube - Wear Yourself Thin (RadioKillaZ Remix)

In the lyrics of 'Deep Blue Sea', the sea is a metaphor for how difficult life can be sometimes. You can feel that you're caught in the middle of the sea or caught in a difficult situation. The tide is pulling you or the situation can feel overwhelming, but you have to "ride it". When listening to the music, the performance of the band can feel like waves washing over you. In the middle 8 section, there is a reference to a partner "I've already jumped in... In between your beautiful skin". Here the partner is a support, to help through the turbulent times. The momentary calming of the music here helps represent this. Although life can be tough sometimes, we all have to remember that we can "survive it"!

When you find yourself stuck in a situation that you're struggling to get out of, or you're repeating some form of negative behaviour, there can always be hope on the horizon! 
This song is all about the contrast between the verses and the choruses...

For some people that escape will be in the form of drinking or smoking too much, before then coming to the familiar realisation that it's time to reign in that type of behaviour and instead try to find some peace and calm.

We are Sheffield-based couple Julie Clarkson (Vocals, Guitar) and Bennett Holland (Vocals, Keyboards). Our music is literally a labour of love. Disregarding the low attention span, quick delivery demands of our times, we hope our music represents the opposite: timeless, unfussy, uncomplicated. Music with integrity, soul and passion. 

A love letter to the love of music itself.

Taking the first two letters of our christian names to make the project title JUBE, we brought together friends from the Sheffield music scene; Darren Campbell on Bass Guitar (who toured with Bennett as a session player in a Groove Armada project) and Richard Storer on Drums.
