Toy Tonics signed Gee Lane also known as Virginie. Her debut Metamorphosis EP (with remixes by Demi Riquísimo and Divorce From New York Remix & PIEK will come out in October. 
Gee Lane is a Venezuelan DJ and vinyl digger based in Barcelona. Gee Lane has been djing with the Toy Tonics Krew already for more than a year now. Kids who go to dance to the Toy Tonics Jam happenings around Europe might have seen her jamming with Kapote and the TT krew and spreading her fabulous music with an extremely positive energy and attitude. Gee Lane is a unique personality with a very strong style (in music but also as a person) and very elaborated ability to read and play with the dancers. Now she delivers her first ever EP. Recorded in Barcelona and Berlin with a little help by Robin Braum from Athlete Whippet. And it reflects well her roots and passion for everything what came out from New York in sense of dance culture. You can hear influences from the 80‘ promo disco scenes as well as the 1990 Body & Soul/ Francois Kervorkian ä/ Joe Claussell universe. In fact Gee Lane after being raised in Cara as and musically educated by her father from a very early age, (a composer and musician) she moved to New York at a very young age in the late 90's where she fell in love with the HOUSE scene. And especially everything that happened at the famous and influential ’Body & Soul’ club.

This culture increased her curiosity to become a DJ (and vinyl digger herself) who is not just interested in house music but wants to explore other genres such as funk , Hip-Hop , jazz and Latin sounds and include these vibes into her DJ sets. A vinyl collector (and long time record shop employee) since then, she is known for her musical eclecticism that leads her to mix everything what she wants ...

Besides her DJ activity she is the host of the radio show: Table For Two on Radio d59b (Belgrade/Berlin).

Gee Lane now is a steady member of the Toy Tonics Krew and is already playing the Toy Tonics Jams all around Europe. A second EP is in the making.

Will Hofbauer has been carving out his idiosyncratic niche in dance music for the past few years, with releases on Rinse FM, Wisdom Teeth and his Third Place seeing critical acclaim as well as high-profile co-signs from the likes of Ben UFO, rRoxymore, Lukas Wigflex, Dr Banana and now, Will Saul and his indomitable Aus Music imprint.
Hofbauer’s ‘Ah! Bats!’ is up first on ‘Four! Beats!’, featuring a speedy dembow beat, rowdy vocal chops, and call-back, signature use of subtle animal sounds that fit right in. The aptly named ‘8 Bar Baile’ is next, a baile funk track built up like 8 bar grime, swapping rhythm in every section for a high-energy, peak-time affair.
Smooth and introspective house cut ‘Scrumble’ then sees whimsical bursts of synths splash on top of delicate drums before Will Hofbauer’s ‘Moss On’ dives deeper underwater with loose arrangement and tripped-out instrumentation.

The discription should be: “The Smooth Gardens” is a sensual and groovy track from the brother duo @parallellsofficial and @abundance-live in which they combine many instruments and organic sounds to Thomas from @parallellsofficial' crooner voice.

The EP refers to The Gardens of Babylon movement in Amsterdam, who redefined the music and event experience. It is a family where all of the EP’s artists are part of.

The inspiration also came during Amsterdam Dance Event. A week filled with musical influences. In that sense, The Smooth Gardens is a hymn to dance, where the smooth groove of the track is slowly reaching parts of your body and is leading them to move, sway and dance.

The EP includes two powerful remixes. The first one is from the couple duo @kmln-berlin bringing a rhythmical edge to it. The second one is from @noraj-cue and @undersmusic bringing a powerful clubby vibe. No doubt both versions will shake the dance floors!

Sol Selectas is proud to present the “La Maison” ep from our good friend from Canada, DJ &  producer, Gab Rhome. These 2 original tracks blur the lines between deep, funky, and afro house styles, with crisp percussion, groovy bass lines, exotic strings arrangements, and playful vocals.
La Maison means “home” in French, and with Gab’s extensive travels around the World DJing, he found it “increasingly difficult to call anywhere home”. But on a recent holiday trip to his parents in rural Canada, among the lush woods, he felt back to his roots. The cheerful cries from children in the song “La Maison”, echo that happy sentiment that Gab felt returning to his foundation in the forest.

“Hidden” refers to the song elements contained within the track itself, a proper composition with verse, chorus, and bridge all included. The catchy guitar riff and vocal countdowns are from Gab himself, along side his girlfriend, just having fun in the studio. This demonstrates how both songs have seeds planted in sharing special moments with those closest to you -  friends, family, and lovers.

Whitesquare from Italy, joins Sol Selectas for his stripped back percussive remix of “La Maison”. The distinct Afro groove and signature minimal percussion he’s become known for, drive the track forward, but its the epic breakdown that keeps us marching on the dance trail.

MadMotormiquel from Berlin also premieres here on Sol Selectas, with a psychedelic re-interpretation of “Hidden”. Adding a powerful hypnotic bass, dramatic pads, and chopping up Gab’s guitar riff, he creates a heady late night dance floor trip.

The artwork by Helia Jamali takes us on a dreamscape to the northern green forests, where the Canadian hawk is leading us back to our “Maison”.
