In Memory of Chester Bennington
"Your Voice Echoes from the Past" is a song about the unbearable realization that someone was screaming for help all along—and we called it beautiful.
It's about looking back at every hurt they shared and recognizing we framed it as inspiration instead of asking how heavy it was. When the lines they screamed were cries we mistook for poetry. When they were begging in a different way—in the space between their words—and we kept moving through our days while they ran out of time.
This track isn't just about grief after loss.
It's about the guilt of understanding too late. The haunting recognition that every note was a tear, every chord a sigh, and we were too comfortable with the light they gave us to notice they were burning out. It's about wishing we could reach back into the past and ask the one question we never asked: "How heavy is this for you?"
Now all that remains are pictures frozen in time, online messages that stare straight through, and a wonderful voice—echoing from the past, fading a little more each day.
This is a lament for Chester—and for everyone who left echoes behind while we were too late to listen.
