Volt5000 (@volt5000 and @mgxloop) and I are glad to present "Day by Day 1" (as track 10) in our almost completed collaborative album "Day by Day" (including compositions of ours during the 1st half of 2022, but mostly of May and June 2022). What remains is a last, 11th (and long), track, which I'll post here on SC in about a week, "Day by Day 0 (En mouvement)- Reverse Continuous-Set Mix", which will close the album, to be then posted as a whole on SC too.

The track was created in collaboration on 30 January 2022 (initial composition, mix and recording in MAGIX by Volt5000) and 20-21 June 2022 (subsequent composition, arrangement, recording and final mix in GarageBand and Logic Pro X by Alex M), and posted here on SoundCloud on 1 July 2022 (by Alex M).

The artwork cover for the track uses a conceptual idea of Volt5000 of 6 May 2022, implemented by Alex M (in PowerPoint) on 7 May 2022, then cropped and annotated with text by Alex M (in Mac OS Preview) on 26 May 2022 - in coordination and agreement with Volt5000.

I recommend that anyone learning to play the guitar listen to this piece over and over again, playing the Gm/B♭pentatonic scale in various ways, and trying to find a phrase that you like.

The volume adjustment during mixdown is optimized for the environment when using the earphones that come with the iPhone. If you feel that the volume of the guitar playing in this work is low, please use earphones and check the volume balance of this recording. It seems that earphones other than those that came with the iPhone do not have any problems. When using an Android device and when connecting an audio interface to a PC, I connected inexpensive earphones and confirmed that the guitar volume can be heard at a roughly appropriate balance.

There is another way. I have embedded a SoundCloud player on my blog to introduce my works, but I noticed that this work sounds harder (mid-high tones are clearer) than when played directly in the browser. This is a song that came to me quite in Full on the evening of Christmas Day 2024 which was also the First Nite of Hanukkah 2024 at just around 11pm, Just like Magic. 
~ I do believe my beautiful late Mom may have had something to do with it ~ I've never had a song write itself practically in entirety so easily ~ Hope It Brings Hope ~~ & Yes ~ Magic !

This song started as a guitar composition Tez came up with while on holiday recently. He wrote it with the Eclectic Collective in mind, inspired by ZZ Top, and shared it with the rest of us as soon as he was able to return home and record it. 
  Stephen was first to the trough with this one, adding his thrilling guitar fills and solo. Being from Texas, too, he's no stranger to Biily Gibbons. Mark came next with some synth, and later added some claps and shaker. Ken put his rocking drums in after Mark, laying the groundwork for the groove. Josh completed the rhythm section with his bass soon after, though. Mark decided early on that he was going to add some vocals to this, and Stephen had to adjust his part to suit them. We're all really happy with not only Mark's lyrics, but especially his vocal performance, as well. Eclectic Collective now has a go to member of the band who know's what he's doing with his voice. 
  Once it was in the can, Tez decided to mix it, as it was his song to begin with. He did his always expert job with the task, too. 
  This is an example of Eclectic Collective getting down and dirty for a rocker that has the flavor of all of us firing on all cylinders. Special attention to both Tez and Mark for their inspiring generosity and hard work in conceptualizing this one, too. We all hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed creating it.

"I will be there" is one of my favorites. Hubert once again put all his vocal intensity and his skillful playing in this song. I am proud he achieved exactly the atmosphere I was hoping for. A tune full of confidence and desire when one suffers from drifting spiritually into darkness and there is someone to hold on to and  someone who is able to lift you up again.
