Strongly shaped by the raw and forward-leaning sound of 90’s Techno, Milan based artist Alarico Zucchi started his journey into electronic music in 2015 making his way through clubs as a DJ while learning the art of music production.

The inauguration of ‘Alarico’ occurred in 2019 after previously exploring several sub-genres of Techno. The alias was formed as a statement to showcase a style that was personal to him. Personal in a way that he became captivated within the patterns and structures of his own sound.

Known for fast paced rhythms and kinky grooves he has released music consistently since his debut in 2020 on Joton’s imprint ‘Newrhytmic Records’. Shortly after he launched the vinyl imprint “Katana Records” which showcases the more nose-bleed and mental side of his idea of Techno. 

Also 2021 so far has been a prolific key year for Alarico. While the world fell seemingly more and more asleep, he continued honing his craft: His debut on Amsterdam based label ‘OOM Records’ was followed by an invitation to a highly acclaimed artists label, which is soon to be disclosed. The same goes for an upcoming remix.

Alarico continues to position himself as a unique music lover, continuing to explore the depths and possibilities of sound. He stands for continuously pushing boundaries and stirring this attitude with his background of Hip Hop and Japanese culture.

Hailing from the Yorkshire Dales just outside of Leeds, Balrog is the founder of UK record label Khazad Records. As an artist his style could be categorised as industrial groove, focusing on heavy groove-ridden drums, driving bass lines, and obscure distorted vocals. 

Balrog has gone from strength to strength over the last few years with multiple releases on exciting techno labels including Soma, Instruments Of Discipline, Moments In Time, Green Fetish and The Meaning Of Rave. His music has received support from some of the biggest in the scene including Amelie Lens, Dax J, Rebekah, Perc, Paula Temple, Manni Dee, and many more.

This mix is part of Balrog’s vinyl only mix series “When Techno Had Groove”, focussing on working through his collection of records from the late 90s and early 2000’s, a taste of what to expect on March 12.

Greek roots, born in Koblenz and currently living in Augsburg, Germany, Christos found his musical affinity already in his earlier years. When his focus shifted to the electronic genres at some point, he knew that this was where he belongs, as soon after he got hooked on DJing which also involved developing his stylistically signature, allowing him to dive even further into his passion.

For the better part, Christos’ sound is based upon an atmospheric & deep track selection, resulting in quite trippy sets which can pick up quite a serious pace as well. Ambitiously following a “golden thread” in all his performances.

Bio : 
Born in Hamburg and based in Berlin since 2011, Viscerale has a classical background in piano and found her passion to select the right tunes for the right moment since she was young. She discovered the dancefloor in her late teens, but it took her many years to reveal her true passion.
Her first electronical mixtapes appeared around 2015, which led to requests to perform and officially started DJing in clubs in October 2017. She already made her debuts in several countries including the US, played few times for the infamous Party “Herrensauna” and supported showcases of the Label “Instruments of Discipline”.
Since April 2019, Viscerale belongs to the Label/Agency "Another Name" of the Club Ved Siden Af in Copenhagen, the city of her musical inspiration, where she is also holding a residency.
Driven by strong emotions and moved by fast, hypnotic & disturbing sounds, her sets are influenced by melodic, dark, rhythmic and Industrial Techno and usually transform into early 90’s Gabber and Hard Trance. 140 bpm upwards is definitely her comfort zone, always seeking high energy levels in a playful way.

Achiever's productions and sets are characterized by dark, industrial sounds. His productions and sets often tell a story or are designed in such a way that it conveys a mood or a feeling. Drawing inspiration from the underground techno scene and influenced by (old school) hip-hop and metal. The one thing you can be certain of is that his sound design & vision are designed to be loud, dark and industrial. With support from the likes of Dax J, Rebekah, Paula Temple, SNTS, NoneoftheAbove & 9x9 he has certainly not gone unnoticed in the scene. You can find his releases on labels such as Grounded, The Techno's Children & COUP.
