The original mix is dark, moody and encapsulates the non-obvious mood Zero Tolerance is renowned for. It also comes with three remixes, the first from Danny Bonnici who is no stranger to the label. He delivers a forward-thinking and remarkable breaks mix that pays homage to his trademark energy and spirit. The second remix comes from Mckeown & Bassiray. Executed with precision, their remix represents the true spiritual ZT deep progressive breakbeat sound. The third and final remix in the package is a collaboration between Stuart Mckeown, Darius Bassiray, and Gab Oliver under their guise "Depth Institute" which is an interpretation focusing on subtlety and deep textures that are reminiscent of Zero Tolerance's roots whilst firmly placing the sound into the future.

As the world slowly begins to reopen its doors after months of restrictions and lockdowns at the start of 2022, a familiar duo makes their Perspectives Digital debut under the No Distance pseudonym.  Peter Makto & Gregory S are no strangers to the underground dance scene.  Fully immersed in electronic music from an early age and lifelong friends, the Hungarian pair have been regulars across the clubs of their homeland, not least under the auspices of their Truesounds agency and subsequent label of the same name.

The pair have been responsible for a double century of production credits with their music finding its way onto the likes of Proton Music, Dear Deer, and Hoomidaas, over a decade-long career that saw a debut remixing Eelke Kleijn for Manual Music in 2011.  Entering a new chapter under the No Distance moniker, the duo has been able to combine Gregory's melodic flair and Peter's penchant for deep house grooves.

Now making an immediate impact on Darin Epsilon's label, "Diamonds" finds them creating a magical sonic tapestry that glitters with a mesmerizing arpeggio that flows effortlessly across the 7 minute piece.  Textured pads sit underneath as the track is propelled by a driving beat and rolling hi-hat top line.  The result is the creation of a dynamic and sparkling opener full of poise and grace.

With its slightly darker and more melancholic air, "Eclipse" once again sees No Distance making their mark with a driving, club-friendly offering.  Underneath a chest-thumping kick and whip-cracking snare, a bassline sequence holds firm while a detuned synth pierces the midrange with an earworm motif.  An immaculately placed vocal line gives the track additional intrigue making its presence felt at the midpoint breakdown alongside white noise swells and a repeated synth line, before the second half strides out again with potent rhythmic force.

Representing the light and dark, Peter Makto & Gregory S shine a light on their production flair with their "Diamonds EP”.

As we move towards a new generation of legendary artists in the making, we take a look at some of the tales they'll be telling in the form of our new series on Juicebox Music - "Fables". Etching their mark in today's world with their unique & powerful style, these individuals have a special destiny waiting for them.

The first edition of "Fables" sees us visiting Argentina for the sounds of 'Agustin Pietrocola', 'Alan Cerra', 'Jesuan M', 'Pedro Belardo' & 'Unusual Soul', followed by a long journey north for the echos of Colombia by 'NuFects' & Mexico's 'David Podhel'. As Proportion continues to grow apace, an all-star cast assembles for the label's third release with iconic figures from South America and Europe combining on "Small Wonder".
Joining label head-honcho, Dmitry Molosh, on the original track, Navar is an artist with a rich musical heritage. With music signed to such esteemed imprints as Roger Martinez's Higher
States, Guy J's Lost and Found and GMJ and Matter's Meanwhile, the Dutch producer has always stayed away from a standard musical formula. Such an approach has enabled him to produce a
vintage selection of innovative and praiseworthy music. "Small Wonder" is thus a driving rhythmic gem that glitters with percussive verve and sultry bassline groove. Evolving elegantly,
filtered motifs combine as a smooth arpeggio makes a fleeting first appearance. A cascading breakdown of melodic layers appears at the breakdown before the third movement erupts in a synergy of rhythmic and melodic force where arpeggios and bass combine with heavy kick in a dancefloor masterpiece.
Hernan Cattaneo requires no introduction to the underground dance fraternity. A household name and legendary figure across South America and the global stage, the Argentinean showcases his immaculately blended DJ sets to thousands of club-goers on a weekly basis as he demonstrates an unrivalled commitment and passion to his craft. As owner of the internationally recognised Sudbeat Music, El Maestro has always found a vehicle for his production work, whether on his own label or a host of others. A regular collaborator with like-minded musicians, a score of credits can be found with fellow countryman, Marcelo Vasami, who is also a powerful force with regular DJ sets across Argentina and support for his multi-
faceted productions on Hope, Afterglow and Replug, from the global DJ elite. Formerly combining on the likes of Timeless Moment, Vapour Recordings and ICONYC, the Hernan Cattaneo and Marcelo Vasami remix is a rolling rhythmic jewel that sparkles with head-shaking
percussion and deep kick. Imaginatively using elements from "Small Wonder", the arpeggio so central to the original waxes and wanes alongside a plethora of additional production material.
Swathes of white-noise washes and textured pads add to the haunting atmosphere in a track that blossoms post-breakdown with dancefloor bliss.
The final remix sees a third Argentinean enter the remix arena as Mike Griego makes a welcome first appearance on Proportion. An artist with over a century of production credits to his
name across a 13-year career, a 2009 debut for Atlantdigital saw Griego go on to release regularly on such blue-chip imprints as Sudbeat, Plattenbank, microCastle and Cid Inc.'s
Replug. A pair of remixes of Kasper Koman's number one selling "In Circles" for Juicebox Music witnessed Griego's first outing in 2022 as he now continues that success with a compelling interpretation of "Small Wonder". A chest-thumping beat and ticking percussive groove combine with seismic bass groove in a dark and brooding affair before lighter synth motifs from Molosh and Navar's original flow atop in stark juxtaposition. Creamy pads and choral swells add another musical conduit post-breakdown as the innovative bassline cadence creates a new sonic tension in an impressive new reworking.
With such an impressive array of talent on display, it is "Little Wonder" that the Dmitry Molosh and Navar partnership is destined for success.

The 41st release on Clubsonica Records welcomes Matan Caspi to the label for his debut single. The Israeli artist has been a mainstay of the electronic music underground for more than a decade. Releases on Global Underground, Deeperfect, Movement Recordings and Spinnin highlight his discography. More recently Matan has been dominating Beatport's Progressive House charts with a string of outings on his Outta Limits imprints. Now stepping up for his Clubsonica debut Matan presents his latest single ‘Crosswinds' alongside remixes from Kamilo Sanclemente & Juan Pablo Torrez, Paul Kardos and LoQuai.

Having been nominated for Progressive House artist of the year by Beatport has only fuelled Matan's creative fire. Never one to rest on his laurels the Israeli unleashes one of his all time best works in ‘Crosswinds'. Beginning with warm swells and vocal overlays the framework gets filled in with chunky bass stabs and vibrant percussion. The narrative shifts with the introduction of a full vocal, carrying the composition further into emotive waters. Intertwined with a cascading lead theme it's a magical pairing, making for what might be Matan's most emotionally gripping creation date.

The first interpretation of ‘Crosswinds' is provided by Kamilo Sanclemente & Juan Pablo Torrez. This is a first time collaboration from the Colombian duo for Clubsonica who have both enjoyed immense success in their solo careers. Now a staple of Beatport's progressive house charts Kamilo has grown into one of Colombia's biggest artists, while Clubsonica label boss Juan Pablo Torrez has become a regular in the sets of Hernan Cattaneo. With both having their pulse on the heart of the genre this first time collaboration for Clubsonica has been much anticipated and delivers in a major way. Clocking in at ten minutes it's an expansive journey which expands the consciousness of the original. From its rippling, rib crushing groove to a collage of astral motifs it's a compelling first act, perfectly setting up a cavernous break. Building to an effervescent boil, before melting down to vocal fragments and sonic artefacts, it's a two minute interlude for the ages, foreshadowing the cosmic finale perfectly.

Rising out of Hungary's hotbed of progressive house talent is Paul Kardos. No stranger to Clubsonica, having just released his excellent ‘Main Theme' single, the Hernan Cattaneo favourite now returns to remix ‘Crosswinds'. Putting his pure progressive touch on the composition, the Hungarian utilizes the vocal motif perfectly, drifting above a warm, chuggy foundation and layers of hypnotic refrains. Growling stabs add drama to the emotive tapestry, eventually breaking down into a trail of vocal effects and bulbous bass tones. Its meditative qualities set the stage for a smooth energy bridge, bringing an understated yet poignant rush into the hypnotic finale. 

The release concludes with LoQuai making his debut on the label. There are few in the progressive house underground with a longer and more extensive discography than the Russian born, German based artist. His decade long career has cemented his place in the genres history. Known for his groovy productions Loquai opts for a smooth, exhilarating approach, highlighting the vocal and lead theme in a more indistinct way, as it melds perfectly with the flowing atmospheres and tonal changes. A lovely remix from Loquai which rounds out what would have to be considered one of Clubsonica's most sought after releases to date.

For our fourth edition of "Untold Stories", a series where we feature new remixes and interpretations of our back-catalogue, we invited a few very special producers from our home country - India, all making their debut appearance on the label. Please welcome Dharmalogy, Midnight Traffic, Nosh & SJ and Ninesh Babu.

Closing the pack is Ninesh Babu, a Kerala native from Thrissur (India), currently based in Dubai (UAE), who's been pushing the progressive sound since 2009. His earlier work was heavily supported by Jaytech, Markus Schulz, Max Graham & many more, with releases on Alexey Sonar's "Intricate" as well as the famed LA-based imprint "Silk Music" while his current evolution in sound lead him to have releases on Framewerk's "Capital Heaven" and D-Formation's "BeatFreak Limited". Greg Tomaz, another Kerala native & core team member of Juicebox Music since his "Alchemic Substance" EP contribution in 2016, has seen his fair share of steady growth as a producer with productions on Jelly For The Babies' "One of A Kind", Julian Rodriguez's "Massive Harmony" & Nick Quadrat's "Clinique". "The Substance of Feeling", one of the 2-tracks from his debut EP with us, gets a 2020 treatment from Ninesh Babu, who goes straight for the jugular with a peak-time rumbling rework, cleverly using the original's speech & melodic content.

Number twenty-one on San Francisco’s Manjumasi is the Titans EP from renowned Australian producer Jamie Stevens. With well over twenty years production experience under his belt, notably as a founding member of Infusion, Jamie brings a uniquely detailed and sophisticated flair to each of his productions. The two originals on this EP are no exception. Lead track Titans balances many layers of clever melodic synth-work over a rock-solid and pleasantly punctuated bass groove. This is followed up by Blush, a moodier piece built around a gentle but insistent crescendo of brass harmonies, evoking an open and expansive sonic space.

First up on remix duty are Bristol duo dubspeeka. Their interpretation of Titans repurposes the track’s core materials, crafting a supremely sturdy late-night number with heady, whirling percussion and a darker edge. Next up, Peruvian producer Luis Leon transforms Blush with a mix that dials up the nuance and sensuality, bringing the track’s deep and delicate elements into focus, with the result being a highly alluring auditory collage. Finally, Manjumasi’s own Naveen G turns in his own take on Titans, a driving dancefloor take with no shortage of punch, deep bass, and a gritty modern progressive tone on the lead melodies that will keep this track pushing the dancefloor forwards.
