Uranets Kod – Berättelse

Efter att Musikens Järnmalm bröts fram ur Kirunas mörkaste schakt, öppnas en ny spricka i bergets hjärta. Där, djupt under marken, finns något äldre än gruvan, äldre än människan – en pulserande energi som bär på en kod.

Volym 2, Uranets Kod, är inte musik i traditionell mening. Det är ett eko från uranets inre liv – metallens kärna som både kan skapa värme och förinta allt liv. Här möts den brutala energin från black metal med jazzens fria disharmoni, men nu svept i en radioaktiv glöd av Hemi-Sync-drönor och kosmiska rytmer.

Trummorna låter som rasande stenar i en kollapsande gruva. Saxofonen skär genom luften som geigermätare som varnar för strålningen. Fender Rhodes-klustren är filtrerade genom lager av distortion, som om själva bergets ådror hade börjat tala.

Detta är inte längre enbart Kiruna Wave.
Detta är Uranets Kod – ett ljud från underjorden, en ritual för de invigda, ett soundtrack till gruvans sista andetag när mörkret blir självlysande.

Prolog: Kirunas Musikaliska Chiffer

I Norrlands djupaste skikt, där järnmalm möter uran och staden långsamt förflyttas, finns ett språk som inte är ord.
Det är ljud.
Ett chiffer av rytmer, borduner och dissonanser, inskrivna i bergets kropp sedan urminnes tider.

Jazzmusikerna från bastun trodde först att de jammade.
Men när de satte corpsepaint på sina ansikten och kopplade in gitarrer och Rhodes genom distpedaler från framtiden, började berget tala tillbaka.
De hörde rytmer som inte kunde räknas, mönster som inte kunde förstås, toner som kändes som rasande maskiner och viskande andar på samma gång.

Det som kom fram var inte musik i vanlig mening.
Det var heliga kaoslåtar.
Fragment av en större kod – Kirunas Musikaliska Chiffer.

Och bland dessa koder döljer sig de farligaste frekvenserna: Hemi-Sync-bordunerna, de låga vibrationerna som kan sudda ut gränsen mellan verklighet och vision.
De som vågar lyssna hör ångbåtar i dimma, norrsken som viskar, kyrkbastun som andas.
De som inte orkar – de vänder tillbaka.

Detta är början.
Ett arkiv öppnas.
Ett chiffer läses.
Musiken är inte funnen – den är frisläppt.

Box Of Tricks Episode 21

Ruthie’s free download picks series started back in 2016. The original idea was to save cash to buy DJ hardware during the move to digital, whilst building up a new music collection.
2020 did not go to plan. Ruthie has learned that DJ controllers have loop features, meaning that vocalists, professional brass players and many other friends can more easily join in the jam and fun. Down the rabbit hole we go.

Wasted Heroes & Malanga pres. After Dark

Louise 'Fifties' O' Donnell is a DJ and designer hailing from Co.Antrim. Her passion for dance music sparked during her time at art college in Lincoln, England. After investing in some wheels o steel and after many long nights practising, she started getting gigs in local clubs including 'The Cell' where she became a warm up favorite at Radio 1's (In New Djs We Trust) Andy George and Jaymo's night, 'Moda'.

From these early beginnings, over the past decade, she has played across the U.K. and Ireland from Lush at Kelly's to Scotland's Wickerman festival and received praise from both DJmag and iDJ Magazine.

Her sets are full of funk and groove with one aim - to make your feel good! From jackin' house to uplifting electro to brilliant bootlegs to exclusive, unique edits layered with cheeky acapellas....this is not just any dolly DJ!

An artist to the end, she is the designs manager for her own company  ‘Juicebox Design’, with clients ranging from Intec, Chew The Fat, Meat Katie’s Lot49 and many morel. Also, this talented lady has carved a name for herself as the prolific journalist on the blog scene as 'Reviews Editor' for music blog Life Support Machine...
