Another Fine Fest set (June 2023)

This is my set from the Beats 4 Love Festival which took place at Dolní Vítkovice in Ostrava, Czech Republic, in the summer of 2023.

Since I returned to the fray in 2023, I've been using Ableton and a number of controllers to create my sets and am loving the flexibility it gives me to do deeper dives into edits, overdubs, mashups and mixes. It wasn't uncommon during this set to have four or five audio channels running simultaneously. I hope you enjoy the ride!

Louise 'Fifties' O' Donnell is a DJ and designer hailing from Co.Antrim. Her passion for dance music sparked during her time at art college in Lincoln, England. After investing in some wheels o steel and after many long nights practising, she started getting gigs in local clubs including 'The Cell' where she became a warm up favorite at Radio 1's (In New Djs We Trust) Andy George and Jaymo's night, 'Moda'.

From these early beginnings, over the past decade, she has played across the U.K. and Ireland from Lush at Kelly's to Scotland's Wickerman festival and received praise from both DJmag and iDJ Magazine.

Her sets are full of funk and groove with one aim - to make your feel good! From jackin' house to uplifting electro to brilliant bootlegs to exclusive, unique edits layered with cheeky acapellas....this is not just any dolly DJ!

An artist to the end, she is the designs manager for her own company  ‘Juicebox Design’, with clients ranging from Intec, Chew The Fat, Meat Katie’s Lot49 and many morel. Also, this talented lady has carved a name for herself as the prolific journalist on the blog scene as 'Reviews Editor' for music blog Life Support Machine...
