For our 40th milestone in the mix series, we couldn't be more delighted to host the amazing Faery from Bristol, UK. Freya's approach integrates textured ambience and deep, proggy trance and techno, a sound that is undoubtedly deeply loved here in Naarm. We've been big fans of her mixes for @dreamsoftwarecorp, @rapturenetwork and her monthly show for @1020radio. Freya's mix for melt is as enjoyable, treating us to a gorgeous journey of chugging, psychedelic sounds.

Our next mix comes from our good friend Ophelia, who has donned their turbo alter-ego for an hour of hi-nrg, proggy club music. You may know Ophelia aka DJ Luv You from their joyful, disco-dipped selections at countless venues around town as well as on Skylab Radio or the Paris-based LYL Radio. They are also a co-founder of the very fun bi-monthly club night and mix series @luna_blessings alongside Daphne/Claire Dickson, which focuses on curating spaces and booking artists in the womxn, queer and GNC communities.

Rolling, proggy bangers from old school to new & fresh, from the young DJ & head behind @meltmelbourne. Depending on the set/mix/mood, Willis dives between a range styles & genres - dipping into electronica & downtempo in his Hope St Radio shows, and at other times he's even got a punk rock outlet via @sandydish.

Willis is a dedicated member of the community & it's been lovely to watch him grow and flourish.

Welcoming wonderful local DJ and producer 3rd Orbit for this year's first melt mix. Here they explore some of the more energetic sides of bass and broken beat, an area they specialise in.  On their @area3000 show "Bass and Breaks" you can see their love for the sound on full display, ranging from groovy house tinged shuffles to  skipping footwork and thumping UKG.  Enjoy!
