Strange but true. Headfire International is now celebrating its 10th release.
I'm more than happy to have Steve Bug by my side for this special moment. Steve and I have a friendship for more than 10 years, which has already been reflected musically in the last 10 years, in the form of various tracks and remixes on his label Pokerflat Recordings.
Steve was a musical inspiration for me very early on and his tracks have contributed a lot to my development as a music producer.
It took a few years until we found the time to put together tracks, but now we've done it and releasing two works.

The long awaited first release of Stavroz on Denature Records has arrived! This 5-track EP starts with "Zorrow". This track sounds like an invitation to wander and get lost in the jungle. By the second track, 'Perron 11' the tempo gets more vigorous opening the way to the main track 'Kasambila' and its enchanting ethnic vibes. On the other side of the EP, 'Xs Pls' (pronounce it Extra Small Please) has this unique instrumental groove that four-piece band masters so well. The EP ends with the title 'It was All A Ruse', a melancholic ballad through mystical lands.

Renowned international craftsman Maher Daniel returns to No. 19 Music with a fantastic new EP that also comes with standout remixes from Art Department, plus label regular JADE (CA). Daniel has been building his own vinyl only label, The Other Side with a series of slick releases that come after other outings on the likes of Circus, 8Bit and of course No.19 Music. He has taken his label to showcases everywhere from the Caribbean to Beirut and always cooks up infectious club sounds in the studio. Alongside this he has a vinyl only edits series called Creature that has consistently sold out upon release. Aside from his production and DJ work he is a central figure in the industry and has a long standing history with the No.19 crew. Here he opens with the excellent ‘A Heart That Beats You’ which is utterly captivating across ten minutes of sleek minimal house. It’s a deep track with rubbery drums and spooky synth designs that hook you in and never let you go. Steamy vocals layer in another element that makes it all the more standout. ‘Hidden Messages’ is another expertly intricate track with slippery synths and drums, minute little effects and drum fills and a restless groove of which Villalobos would be proud. The first of the remixes comes from label boss Art Department, who is enjoying a superb run of releases of late, including standout records for Cassy’s Kwench and The Martinez Brother’s Cuttin’ Headz label. His version of ‘A Heart That Beats You' is a superb late night house cut with warm, colourful chords and a soulful vocal that build the tension until the whole thing drops and sets the club alight. Canadian DJ/producer JADE (CA), a long-time friend of the label, then steps up. Deep, dark bass lines accompanied by solid hi hat patterns sink you into a state of hypnosis and make for another one of this fine talent’s trademark tracks.

The voices in his head were loud and radiant, it were as if they cast some sort of stubborn spell upon his own sense of self and sensibilities. They had once driven him mad but for now he was able to live and let live, not responding to their relentless questions and perpetual doubt. This was his life after all, not theirs. He was the one who would decide which actions he would take and which path he'd weave as the future unfolded before his very eyes. The world was his, a tall tale which would explain the story, how he learned to stop thinking. 

Third Son is set to release a new EP on Polymath, a well balanced EP which showcases a sense of versatility and breadth in sound. The release is forthcoming and is hotly anticipated.

Juicy Quince is the deep, groovy alter ego of Srđan Mitrović — a self-taught DJ and producer from Banja Luka. Blending dark textures, techy rhythms, and immersive storytelling, each track unfolds like a short film, pulling listeners out of routine and into something more.

Story begins on a summer vacation in Montenegro, when a random trance CD ignited a lifelong fascination with electronic music. Started as bedroom DJing on a PC grew into realization that music wasn’t just something to mix, but something to create. At 17, I stepped into the world of production, weaving breaks and grooves between life’s pauses, always returning to sound as a personal ritual.

Juicy Quince’s sound is a blend of all textures, defined basslines, and narrative structure — each track unfolding like a short film, with its own atmosphere, tension, and resolution.
