All my grandfather ever wanted to do
was wake up at dawn and watch my grandmother kneel and pray
in a village hidden between Jaffa and Haifa
my mother was born under an olive tree
on a soil they say is no longer mine
but I will cross their barriers, their check points
their damn apartheid walls and return to my homeland
I am an Arab woman of colour and we come in all shades of anger.
And did you hear my sister screaming yesterday
as she gave birth at a check point
with Israeli soldiers looking between her legs
for their next demographic threat
called her baby girl “Janeen”.
And did you hear Amni Mona screaming
behind their prison bars as they teargassed her cell
“We’re returning to Palestine!”

But you tell me, this womb inside me
will only bring you your next terrorist
beard wearing, gun waving, towelhead, sand nigger

but those are your copters, your F16′s in our sky

Now I’ve never seen Miami Vice, but I’m thinking if the Japanese had a similar series, this latest offering from Anton Bogomolov (ScruScru), would be perfect as its theme song. Think two detectives, dressed in loud suits roaming around Kyoto fighting crime. From chasing goons down alleyways to following up leads in their flashy convertible, these two are not to be messed with. 

ScruScru hails from Russia and funnily enough he’s created a tune inspired by the warmer months in Kyoto. Most of his work is pieced together through sampling. Be it Soviet symphonic jazz to romantic Russian singers of old, Anton plucks sounds from some fairly unusual places. He tells us that he “tries to structure his music from the get go and not get carried away with improvisation”. 

‘Kyoto Sun’ is a jolly trip. Looped guitar licks and twinkling keys kickstart the track, which are then joined by soaring trumpet and a mysterious Japanese vocal sample (which I’m sure he found via crate digging). The ‘Fuji Editz’ EP (out through our good pals at SlothBoogie), will give you a taste of something a little different. ‘Kyoto Sun’ is like a time warp, you could swear you were sitting in a tiny wooden bar in Japan some 40 years ago, sipping a whisky you’ve never heard of before.

About the EP-
Getting UNAM, THE ODDNESS, MOONTIDE together for an EP has been a momentous feat for kosa, We love the sound the three individually bring to our lives and the idea to get them together for a remix LP tingled our hearts and mind and here is the end product of this special journey which is a delectable combination of eastern sounds and some freshest produce from these fire artists, thicc acid bassline, hypnotic psychedelic soundscapes beautifully textured with ethnic elements, this is some spiritual acid for your soul...
HEKATE was the goddess of magic, witchcraft, the night, moon, ghosts and necromancy. She was the only child of the Titanes Perses and Asteria from whom she received her power over heaven, earth, and sea.
Hekate assisted Demeter in her search for Persephone, guiding her through the night with flaming torches. After the mother-daughter reunion became she Persephone's minister and companion in Haides.
Three metamorphosis myths describe the origins of her animal familiars: the black she-dog and the polecat (a mustelid house pet kept by the ancients to hunt vermin). 
 
Ego death is a "complete loss of subjective self-identity". The term is used in various intertwined contexts, with related meanings. In Jungian psychology, the synonymous term psychic death is used, which refers to a fundamental transformation of the psyche. In death and rebirth mythology, ego death is a phase of self-surrender and transition, as described by Joseph Campbell in his research on the mythology of the Hero's Journey. It is a recurrent theme in world mythology and is also used as a metaphor in some strands of contemporary western thinking.
 
In descriptions of psychedelic experiences, the term is used synonymously with ego-loss to refer to (temporary) loss of one's sense of self due to the use of psychedelics.The term was used as such by Timothy Leary et al to describe the death of the ego in the first phase of an LSD trip, in which a "complete transcendence" of the self and the "game"] occurs. 
 
The concept is also used in contemporary spirituality and in the modern understanding of Eastern religions to describe a permanent loss of "attachment to a separate sense of self" and self-centeredness. This conception is an influential part of Eckhart Tolle's teachings, where Ego is presented as an accumulation of thoughts and emotions, continuously identified with, which creates the idea and feeling of being a separate entity, and only by disidentifying one's consciousness from it can one truly be free from suffering (in the Buddhist meaning)
And together this is therapeutic and we call it ACID THERAPY :D
