Pan-Pot are back, this time with the Cells EP on their newly formed label, Second State. The new label sees Pan-Pot taking full creative control as they move into the second phase of their career, and both Cells and Third Eye are keen indicators that the pair are starting a new chapter of their sonic journey.

Third Eye was born out of Pan-Pot’s urge to create a track with a driving, hypnotic bassline. As a result, Third Eye makes its way into your head as listeners instantly get hooked on the bassline, but it’s not until the arp changes that things really start getting weird and fun.

With Pan-Pot’s eagerly anticipated album, 'The Other’ on the horizon, it's only fitting that we begin early with a glimpse of what’s to come. 

'The Other One' is the first of two EPs from the duo's upcoming long player and with the two carefully selected tracks; 'Pina' and '808 Nirvana', it's exactly what you come to expect from the duo. 

'808 Nirvana' is a white knuckle ride laced with fast paced stabs, shakers and snares while meteoric rises carry you into deep space. 'Pina', aptly titled after the newborn addition to the family, is a bundle of energy. It constantly grows larger and more complex before finally unleashing a fierce, sonic blast that wouldn’t seem out of place on the soundtrack to a Hitchcock film. In perfect Pan-Pot fashion. 

'The Other One' is the perfect teaser ahead of the full album release, with both tracks the epitome of the Pan-Pot sound. 

Big room, serious, dramatic techno.

The cleverly titled 'Fist Bump From Destiny' is a story of patience with huge payoffs. At nearly 10 minutes, it's a long ride that builds slowly as persistent and hypnotizing tones circle and stalk, continually growing into the semblance of a cosmic clock. Originally released as a B-side in 2007 on Figure‘s then-sublabel Podium, Len Faki‘s ‚My Black Sheep‘ was one of those rare tracks that unpredictably take on a life of their own. A veritable underground hit, it not only came to define the sound of Len Faki at that time but for many became equally synonymous with the state of the scene in Berlin around that time. Now that ten years have passed since then, we felt it was about time to finally treat the sheep to a fresh shave.

Featuring a variety of vibes, Deetron first takes us for an extended trip along rattling drums, his mantra-like use of the vocal drawing the listener deep into the rabbit hole. Down there things start swirling even more wildly around Jimmy Edgar‘s marimba arps, while Truncate forcefully slaps us back on track.

On the deeper flip side Cleric unexpectedly lays down a distorted barrage of broken beats amidst apocalyptic epic choirs and acid rain. Through the haunted shelters beneath the rubble Matrixxman weaves his subtle and dubbed out yet creepingly effective Isolation Mix.

Coming as a digital-only bonus is Cleric‘s straightforward Y remix - its hard- hitting metallic stabs making for a powerful floor-weapon.

While ‚My Black Sheep‘ already spawned a series of high-profile re-interpretations back in the day, this diverse remix- package successfully places the original within the present context. With this creative cut, the sheep is now ready for another decade‘s run!

Time is flying by and we’re back again with the third installment of our SUM series featuring Second State family and friends. Taking on a true trance classic and a personal favorite of his, Len Faki takes us back to the golden era of big melodies and early raves, sharing two very distinct interpretations of Firedance by Odyssee of Noises, the prolific production outfit helmed by Ralf Hildenbeutel.

Originally released in 1994 on legendary label Eye Q, this track marked a special period for Faki, when he was fully immersing himself into the scene, and accompanied him through his most formative times as a dancer and a becoming DJ.
Brimming with the iconic elation of those nights, side A keeps with the emotive theme of the original‘s Sunrise version, tweeking only slightly to cater for the needs of these days‘ dancers. Re-shaping the classic to match modern productions for it to be mixed with current bangers, Faki packs the tune‘s anthemic appeal into a propulsive ride down memory lane...

As with all releases of LF RMX, the proceeds of this record will be forwarded to the Berlin organization Straßenkinder e.V. to be used in actions against child poverty.

Back with another pair of his heavy-hitting Hardspace Mixes, Len Faki hands two mighty club-weapons. Aimed at no less than unleashing havoc on the floor is the edit of frantic drum-roll-fest Lazer Beam. 

Already quite a force to be reckoned with, Faki manages to beef-up the mix even more, adding rumbling bass-weight and injecting some extra steam to make it roll out until the end. On the flip side there‘s the hypnotic groove of Space Taxi. Captivating and enveloping, this mix alters the original signature bass in order to shift gears into what feals like full forward – there‘s no escaping this one!
