Berlin-based artist Marie Tjong Ayong delivers a captivating four-tracker with her „motherland“ EP, which unfolds like a sonic ritual — earthy, dubby, and steeped in natural rhythm.

Navigating fluidly between dub techno, grey area, downtempo, and breakbeat, the EP carves out its own genre-blurring identity. The sound is rooted in a warm, organic atmosphere, driven by percussive detail and an unmistakably natural flow. You can sense Marie’s background as a trained jazz trumpeter in the subtle musical intelligence that underlies each movement.

From the driving, rhythm-heavy opener „freshelle“ to the introspective, bass-laden „tiger balm“, the EP continuously shifts form and energy. „desert of boredom“ maintains the dub-soaked aesthetic while injecting a more forceful groove, before "rodeo of the bugs“ rounds things off with deep, muted dub techno and refined percussive finesse.

Moi c'est Jules, j'ai 25 ans et j'habite à Besançon. Mon nom de scène est « Clockwork », et je compose de la musique électronique depuis environ neuf ans.

Passionné de musique depuis mon plus jeune âge, j'ai toujours été fasciné par la musique électronique, j'ai commencé très jeune a écouter Kraftwerk ou Aphex Twin pour ne citer qu'eux 
Il y a quelques années, j'ai eu la chance de découvrir le logiciel de composition Ableton Live ou j'ai vite trouvé mes marques et avec lequel j'ai pu composer mes premiers morceaux.
Mes  compositions sont axées  Mental Tribe, old school Tribe ou encore spiral Tekno. Je suis très attaché à ces styles, ancrés dans l'histoire de la Free Party.

Je puise mes inspirations musicales auprès de certains artistes comme par exemple FKY, Little guy, UZI, GRE Live, R-ZAC, TMH ......
