This song was written in 2012, about an old friend of mine who I knew in Berlin, many years ago. This recording is from 2014.

Burn Brighter

This song was written in Amsterdam in the summer of 2016. The starting point was a rediscovered news item about train drivers on the West Highland Line in Scotland, who refused to transport munitions in the lead-up to the invasion of Iraq in 2003. The songs proceed to deal more generally with conscientious objection and the role of Tony Blair in the Iraqi catastrophe.

Ain't Gonna Drive Your Train

This song was recorded by The Firrenes, the band for which I play, sing and write. It is a tribute to my friend Stefan who I new in Berlin. Sadly, he did not go the distance.
