Just got a MacBook so recorded a song I knew well to try and learn the software, so I can later record my own songs. For now, I just wanted to record, and this was the result using GarageBand, utilising just 6 tracks; drums, bass, two guitars, two vocals, and this is the results.

Really old tune I wrote with an old friend Simeon Layburn, back in Sudbury, Suffolk, sitting on the meadows having a smoke, while his boy ran about playing. Sweet times.

The Myriad (mighty guitar dub mix)

This is a cover version, warts and all, that I knocked up on GarageBand. It's a Slaughter and the Dogs song, one of their more recent offerings. I fell in love with this song when my mate played in the LAMF band with Rossi and Walter Lure (whose band it was).

Stranded (demo rough mix)

Based on a tune an old band did years back, but I added some new parts. It needs editing down, but I thought it might be nice to have a record of it at this stage.

Just me mucking about to get a backing track to play along to, really. Great riff and song from Hot Chocolate, maybe someday I'll get round to adding more sections.

A song about Reading's Inner Distribution Road still one of the town centre's main features......someone told me that they managed to get up to 100mph on it, not sure if I believe this.......
