I import the audio files into the daw and then usually load one or more processors of some kind (vinyl, compressor, desk emulations etc) on the stereo master buss. This is configured to colour, shape the sound. My versions are sometimes lower in vol level than the originals. Some releases are hot to signal, but I'm looking for an inherent sound.

Sometimes I apply some chamber and or hall reverb.

I’ve put on a few film remist festivals throughout this year, this is the third. The first was the Mystery Link festival, the second, the Geranium international festival, and…. now there’s the Kimbriki festival.

What’s the story with the name Kimbriki? Well, I used to live a couple of years ago in Palm Beach here in Sydney, twenty klicks down the road is the Kimbriki tip. It’s landfill, your classic tip, shoestrings, microwaves, dolls, refrigerators, plastic bags ’n all.
You cruise around the joint, drop of your junk if you’ve got any…. there’s a sort of hall there off to the side where…. they put things on in there, things go on there…. I don’t know what, but it’s a ‘government’ deal…. come to think of it I remember that they have a herb/vegetable garden growing out the back of it. Anyway you keep cruisin’ around and they’ve got a shop there, kinda a makeshift shack, kind of like from Gilligan’s Island, you know what I mean…. they sell stuff there real cheap, been scavenged or salvaged, however you want to say it - off the tip. By now (down in the valley of) Kimbriki you would have a faint but pleasant odour well and truly in your nostrils. At the shop there’s tables of all kinds, kitsch ones too, and the odd one that just might be alright - what you’re looking for. You could find anything from a stained glass window to a porcelain budgerigar there, from a door to a corny wooden commercial sculpture of Ned Kelly, or something.

Then you complete the sort of loop, drive through the checkpoint/toll gate and off you go….

Gees…. you might even find Neil Young there, sellin’ you cars, washin’ your windows ’n shinin’ your stars…. etc, etc, et al.

Anyway these films are certainly not trash, quite the contrary, I can say that.
Maybe that’s the sort of sardonic irony behind naming this the Kimbriki festival….

But it’s also true to say you never know what you might find at a tip…. and who knows, it just may be that this exact festival may be screened at the hall in Kimbriki, just have to check which way the wind’s blowin’ though….

Also, No Feeling, Did You No Wrong and My Way.

I decided to call the remist, Anarchy In The U.K.

No Feeling was the B side track to the withdrawn God Save The Queen single, 1977 (from A & M records, before the group signed to Virgin).
Did You No Wrong was the replacement B side - God Save The Queen.
My Way was released as a single in 1978, lead vocals - Sid Vicious.

With God Save The Queen I added some delay to the line,

She ain’t no human being

This was to lay further emphasis on what John Lydon originally intended, the repercussions of an anger back at a superiority class system (of delusion).

I also took out the lyrics,

God save the queen
The fascist regime (left in)
That made you a moron (taken out)
Potential H-bomb (left in)

I added some phasing to Did You No Wrong and My Way.

This original release soundtrack features compositions by Bernard Herrmann. Side one of the original vinyl lp (tracks 1 - 5) is arranged and conducted by Dave Blume (one could see these as his versions of Herrmann’s tracks).
Tracks 6 - 10 feature the original film score as conducted by Herrmann.
There are other versions of the soundtrack from 1976 and after that feature additional and or different tracks to this one.

I made edits to Across The Universe, took out the lyrics,

There's some pagan references with the names here, to different pagan religions, not saying John was pagan, he wasn't, just lacked a little perception on this one. But not on many other things eh?
These names are also heard over the outro of the original (without the Om), I faded the track out before this.
(Interestingly David Bowie also took out these lyrics on his version of Across The Universe, on the Young Americans album, 1975).

-Hey Don Felder did you know that my father named a character after you in The Plumber* (1979). Not too many people have the name Don Felder, I haven't heard of anyone else. Peter saw your name on one of The Eagles albums as I recall it, thought why not use that name for one of the anthropologists in the film, the American guy. 
But I think you and the other Eagles can take it as a homage from him.

With Love’s In Need Of Love Today, I took out the lyrics,

The force of evil plans
To make you its possession
And it will if we let it
Destroy everybody
We all must take
Precautionary measures
If love and peace you treasure
Then you'll hear me when I say

I did this because it’s not up to us to make any given situation in life right (even though of course we may be involved), there is only one who can make it all right; Yihweh.

I applied a phaser to the outro of this track, and again re what’s mentioned above, taking out the line, 

It’s up to you

On the track Have A Talk With God, I edited out the lyrics,

Well he’s the only free psychiatrist that’s known throughout the world
For solving the problems of all men and women, little boys and girls

The reason I did this is because Elohim has no part in psychiatry.

With Village Ghetto Land, I also edited out the lyrics (save the last line) to create an instrumental version of the track, I added some variating delay to its latter half.

On Ordinary Pain, I edited out the second half of the track, and added a little reverb on the end cymbal hit (edit point).

On Joy Inside My Tears I did the same.

For the remist I retitled Black Man to This World Was Made For All Men. 
Like this title change I felt that the track claimed to be about the equality of all races yet was weighted in the (number of) lyrics first to the black man and last to the white man, thus nullifying the point of the song. So I took and rearranged some of the lyrics, losing a verse and chorus. One of the replaced lyrics (from another part of the song) was,

Use of martial arts
In our country got its start
By a yellow man

which I replaced with,

The ground were we stand
With the flag held in our hand
Was first the red man's

The track was also duplicated, the second track being put through a phaser then mixed back in. 
The song also ends earlier than the original (without the outro), due to its sudden ending I added in a cymbal hit.

These are all G. Wayne Thomas’ songs save for Palace XI, one of my own, which ended up in the film. Most were from the original released soundtrack, some I lifted from the film itself (I added delay and other effects to some of these).

Not knowing the titles for the lifted audio tracks, I gave them titles: Frontier, Fade Away, Swerl and Crystalline.

The remist cover is different from the original, features a cover from a dvd edition.

I played synth guitar, strings and sometimes moog horn to the tracks, with the exception of time (to listen) and Greetin’s.

Nightmares On Wax - Smokers Delight (Remisted)

For the remist I retitled the album, Yihweh Vibration.

Some may argue that I’m putting something on Bob, that he didn’t intend or wouldn’t have agreed with, by retitling the album to include the sacred name of Elohim, also editing out some lyrics that refer to Rastafarianism. Truth is that he was at times more into Rastafarianism and at times just into Yihweh, the things from him, communicating with him etc.
The reality is that In the real majority of his art, when Marley used the name Jah he was referring to Yihweh.
If you look into it, you’ll see that there are those who were around him, who testify to this, some saying that his thoughts were to the latter, were regarding Elohim at the end of his life, this is true.

Indeed his lyrics are full of quotes from the Tanakh, including from the time of Yeshua’s visitation to post then. It’s also true that there isn’t a hard line approach to Rastafarianism in his lyrics on this album, for example the words Rasta or Rastafari are used only occasionally etc. 

He spoke on many occasions concerning Yeshua.

Lyrics to One Love/People Get Ready (1977), a co-write with Curtis Mayfield, are,

Let’s get together to fight this holy Armageddon
So when when the man comes, there will be no, no doom

Well, Yihweh made in his visitation, taking on a human body at the time, but he never was nor will be a man. Many are wrong in believing that Yeshua’s half man, half Elohim.
Looking past this, Marley when working on this track, felt that one was still to come, to return.

Although it is the name of the Rastafarian god, the name Jah can be traced to the King James bible, in Tehillah* 68 4. This is where the Rastafarians got it from, it originates from Yah, thought to be a name for Elohim derived from his sacred name Yihweh.

Rastafarians largely believe that Haile Selassie was the second coming of the mashiek (my word coming off the Israeli word for messiah, mashiach). This is something that Selassie himself refuted. 
Selassie passed on in 1975.

I edited out some lyrics,

with Positive Vibration, I edited twice around taking out the words, Rastaman vibration

also from Rat race,

Don't involve Rasta in your say say
Rasta don't work for no CIA

The reality is that Marley is in Shamayim (heaven) now and that I have his full support in doing this, editing these lyrics, also true - it’s coming from Yihweh.
Having said this, this lyric reveals that Marley and others were fully aware of Bavel's attempted behind the scenes takeover of his country at the time. Indeed he sometimes had lyrics re Babylon. 

With the track Jah Live I edited out,

Rasta (taken out) 
your God is dead (left in)

Where I took the words rasta and rastaman out if these tracks, one can still hear that the tracks are about Yihweh, have his shekinah*. Truth is that for Bob and others the word rasta could have a more general meaning, as in a reference to someone on the scene, the music scene etc.
I understand this, am also for clarity.
But even the album's cover image (from a photo) is sugestive of Marley looking beyond all else - to Yihweh. 
Indeed he is seeing there yeah?

I slowed Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds down a half step to its natural speed as recorded, likewise I sped he’s Leaving Home up a half step, to the same result. 
I edited Within You/Without You in three places, to remove some lyrics which were untrue/naive, here they are,

First verse,

I decided to include You Know My Name (Look up the number) as the last track. This was recorded over three sessions (in May and June ’67), the first commencing a month after the last recording session for Sgt. Pepper’s. The outro features Brian Jones on alto saxophone.

Agharta is a live double album from a concert of Miles Davis in Osaka, Japan, on the 1st of February 1975.

No changes were made to the production sound.

Miles plays organ in addition to trumpet.

The piece is semi-improvisational in nature, I feel that it has great sections but at times lacks focus. 

I decided to edit the work, in doing this the length went from 1.45 hours to 33 minutes. 
Some parts were shifted to earlier or later places from where they were in the original. I also applied some fades and at one point a rolling delay effect for a few seconds.
