To All da funkygrooysoulful people out there - This is what was going on in Israel's pop between 1965 to 1983, groove wise.
 The mix between Yemen born singers, Kibbutz born writers, Brazilian influences and some very funky producers created some amazing grooves and beats. The disco influence is also quite obvious.

The very first 'Vibes' session for 2015 took place on the first Friday of the year, January 2nd.
Great fun as usual, thanks to Alphabet's state of the art sound system, comfi DJ booth, & a very crowded, positive dancefloor that kept going & going.
The night was too long to put here as is so we decided to slice the last couple of hours, little less disco-ish than the other session we uploaded a few months ago, a little more club feel, but still soothing, like we like it.

Her own productions touch on the darker regions of RnB and lo-fi house, making the Throwing Shade package altogether impossible to pigeonhole and the perfect candidate for a truly worldwide mix.

this is a small selection from his huge vinyl collection, with attention on Israeli music, a trip into the deeps of the multi-cultured country which is Israel

Larry Heard (born 1960) is a musician widely known for the Chicago house music he produced in the mid-1980s and continues to produce today. He was a member of the influential group Fingers, Inc. and has recorded solo under various names, most notably Mr. Fingers. His smooth production style with soulful vocals and long instrumental passages that de-emphasized percussion spearheaded the subgenre known as deep house. One of his first releases was a collaboration with singer Robert Owens, released under the group name ‘Fingers Inc.’. The song ‘Mystery of Love’ instantly became a classic hit, rising to #10 on the Billboard Dance charts. Larry Heard's musical influence can be heard in the songs of countless artists. For those who appreciate warm and passionate compositions, Larry's music is pure magic. He has been blessed with a unique gift that sends listeners into a blissful euphoric state.
