I decided to put all the education I've been getting lately to the test and I've revisited my Feared remix competition entry. When this contest came out I put 100% effort into my entry. I really felt like I had one of my biggest leaps in quality trying to get my best mix for the contest. I ended up really happy with my entry because it was the best mix I had ever made but I was still not completely satisfied due to the fact it didnt sound the way "I" wanted it to sound. It came out the way the software I was using wanted to sound and not how I really envisioned it in my head. This time around I have a much better understanding how to control the software and sculpt out sound the way I prefer and not how a preset guides me. I'm way happier with this mix now. I don't feel as boxed in this time around. Now I just need some better gear like a kemper / axe FX to push this to a new level
