Punkish Song Demo (Ice Breaker)

I recorded this at home back in April 2020 at the start of lockdown. At the time, I was experimenting with different styles and trying to find my voice and confidence on the guitar. This song was fuelled by anxiety and uncertainty about the pandemic - the fear of a loved one or myself in a lonely hospital bed - while at the same time tinged by a kind of defiant optimism and hope. I didn't necessarily intend to release this song, as my sonic direction has changed since then, but it seems appropriate to release as here I am 2 years later having just casually recovered from COVID, and it's remarkable to reflect on how much things have changed since then. We all keep moving forward.
