A spacey wandering track based on an awesome patch from Omri Cohen. Bypass filters, probability delay, and some serious frequency/harmonic modulation towards the end will hopefully make you feel like floating through the cosmos.

Discovered what I'm calling the secret groove where you duck the attack of a running VCO with an inverted wavetable, while simultaneously bumping the sustain and release of the envelope with another wave in the opposite direction. You're left with a chaotic groove that is as tough to dial in as I imagine carving celestial swells in the workshop of the deep.

Onde

A fun chaotic idea I've been sitting on for awhile. First half of the track recorded on a live VCV rack patch using my trackpad as a fun modulator of the cutoff for the main lead. Borrowed a lovely reading of Marjorie Allen Seiffert's poem, "They Who Dance," seeing as it captures the euphoric energy of dancing on "infinite golden floors" beneath your feet.
The Antonio Canova piece of the Phaeacian princes is 100% me and the homies on the dancefloor. As the onlookers gape in shock and awe, the piece has always resonated with me deeply.

A snippet from a techno patch I’m working on, heavily featuring Erica Synths’ Black Wavetable VCO. In this demo I surf through the VC bank over the top of a larger sub techno patch, exploring the full deep goodness of the double sub oscillator outputs. One of my favorite and most versatile VCO’s I’ve ever used.
Hope to build this into an actual track someday with a bit more musicality and pacing.

We’re excited to share the full recording of @djdissolve playing on the @canyonvibration main stage!

dj dissolve is 4th generation Portlander, Producer, DJ, and cofounder of the artist collective Soul House. Inspired by the hypnotic and connective power of electronic music, he uses dance, DJing and production as tools for community healing and social activism.

While he is a big proponent of supporting the local scene, his taste for the underground was heavily shaped by a 2019 academic semester spent abroad studying in Frankfurt, Germany, where he was finally able to grasp the global influence of Chicago house and Detroit techno.

He is inspired by music’s power to heal and connect, and he draws inspiration from the diverse sounds, dances, and spirits that have been emitted from the Willamette Valley for millennia, he views his time on earth as a continuation of this ancient tradition and through every set he seeks to honor the selectors, dancers, and spirit guides who have come before him.

Whether he's behind the mixing board, putting on a record, or cueing up with CDJs, dj dissolve's singular goal remains unchanged: to make his call to the dance floor irresistible.

My "Friday mid-afternoon in the courtyard" set at the beloved raver's retreat / birthdays party that is Forest Friends.

Of note: the remastered Dom & Roland tracks.  Both are special to me because they comprise my very first D&B record.  It was a very quiet pressing, and by now even more so, because I've played it so many times over the decades.  So, it's nice to have an aural upgrade.
Also: I like Coco Bryce!  Evidently, based on how often I play his stuff.  :P
