They know who we are

Let’s start at the beginning
let’s not contemplate the end
And forget what was in the meantime
maybe we  can still be friends

Looking at the moment

I waited at the station
to find you were somebody new  
that time and space had changed us
you weren’t how I remembered you

and I must let you wander
this earth on your own
that friends don’t stay forever
sometimes they're just gone
