“Mycelium” paints an ominous picture from the jump with its disquieting drones and garbled lashings of bass, in contrast to its lighter counterpart. By the drop, volatile breakbeats have come into play, stuttering and stopping unpredictably and making use of atypical drum programming to bring a breath of fresh air to a familiar style. Topped off with spluttering, mechanical synths that yo-yo around the scale with a feverish intensity, it’s an inventive composition, leaning into sci-fi sensibilities to create an immersive listening experience that showcases yet another string to CZA’s bow.

OMG 😂 Usually i only upload sets which i carefully prepared before, just so i can be sure that everything sounds great, but now i said to myself that i have to jump in the cold water and see what happens. I actually recorded this one first try just because i was curious how it would sound like. This was the first time i used my new 2 channel „travel“ controller, the DDJ-FLX4 to play and im kind of getting used to it already. So i really found some new double drops, which I will definitely include in my next live set 🫶🥹 So what do you think? Are you ready for a little bit of everything in DnB starting with dancefloor and neurofunk which goes to jump up and deep sounds? Im in for sure 😂

Sometimes it just feels like the mixes are streaming right out of my head continuously, everything just comes together in my mind and the flow doesnt stop. On the other Hand there are days where my creativity isn’t as great as i would wish it to be but i guess thats the same for everybody.

At Chopstick HQ its not just the dub plate collection that weighs a ton, with a non stop diet of  the famous Jacky Murda Taco’s the lads have put on a few pounds to say the least.

So to get in shape for the summer King Yoof & Aries decided to recruit Jungles answer to Mr Motivator , Jungle Ambassador and all round top bloke General Levy to save the day.

What we didn't expect was some ginger dude called Ed something sheer an? to turn up with a acoustic guitar to the Chopstick studio asking can he collaborate with the General and make some Jungle.

We let Ed do his thing but ended up only using a few lines from him and a bit of guitar and sent him on his way, think he's working with those dodgy Kurrupt FM lads now. 

This Dubplate was leaked out on social media and with over a million views it has now become the workout anthem for the gym going massive. Due to this success Chopstick Dubplate has opened up several Zumba classes around the world.
