Four classic originals. Four amazing remixes. Coppa and his Comanche imprint continue to up the game, and change the game. CMR004 comes with remixes from Benny L, Samy Nicks, AKOV and Blaine Stranger, who each take on one of the tracks from Coppa's An Act Of Aggression LP.
Coppa's reputation and hard work has been rightfully recognised, and after years in the game he is fully flying the flag for drum & bass on stages all over the world. The new remix collection adds another dimension, with four new takes on some of the bigger tunes from last year's album. 
Blaine Stranger takes on Coppa & Raise Spirit's Huge Oh No, which features Nihayet. The same storming, ominous sound, the same massive vibes, but a fresh approach, with Blaine bringing the drums front and centre and adding new synth melodies in a remix which the crowds'll love, taking the tune to yet more listeners than before. Watch out for this one, fire in the dance. Coppa and Disphonia provide the wicked Paranoize, which Akov remixes for CMR004. Just when you thought the original couldn't be added to, Akov completely switches things up, dropping the tempo to half time, isolating the vocals and zeroing in on details to boost the very best parts of the track. A perfect remix on many fronts, you'll want to play this one again and again.
Benny L navigates the Rhythms Of Life, courtesy of the main man Coppa, Virtue and Damian Yonge. Once again, the devil's in the detail, as the remixer swaps in heavier basslines and sharp kicks to bring the new version to life. Energetic and joyful, this is a new anthem in the making. When the beat drops back in, you'll know why we're tipping this one for the top. Essential.
Closer Panic is remixed by Samy Nicks, who builds on Coppa and Benny L's original. This one is the pure, raw edge of drum & bass that we all love so much, and is going to be a tune which you're going to be hearing a lot of in the next few weeks and months.

‘17 years of Mainframe Recordings’ album. The LP features an eye watering 18 tracks, all of which provide a snapshot into how the imprint has evolved over the course of its expansion. Tracks like Ripple’s ‘Stranger’, Wingz ‘Definite’, and Halflow’s ‘Progressive ID’ set the mood, showing the talent which Mainframe have at their fingertips when it comes to the fresher waters of drum & bass. Then Mainframe frequenters Dubape, Phentix, Alibi and Smooth pull you into their expert riddims throughout its track listing. Breakpitt & Tenchu offers something different throughout the soundscape of ‘Flashfreeze’ whilst Picota & Kumbh’s ‘Contact’ continues the moodier vibes. How long had he been in the waiting room? Time seemed to pass in an orderless fashion within this place, speeding up or slowing down, simply stopping or skipping forwards seemingly in accord with its own whims. Looking up from the television set before him, the man stole a glance at the receptionists at the front desk, who continued working diligently as before with little a thought spared in his direction. Checking his watch next, the man pondered at the time. When had his appointment been? 10 am? The watch read 10:05, and he did hope he might be called back soon. After all it was only a small matter, something wrong with his skin, though exactly what he could not remember. Leaning his head back to peer through the door to the examination rooms, the man noticed handprints adorning the window set within it. How charming that the doctors and nurses had had their children decorate their workplace, he thought with a smile. And such a nice smell the office had too! He hadn’t noticed it at first, but the clinic had a distinct scent of decay, quite alike to smells he had first discovered in the woods behind his grandparents’ house. Yes, that was it, that moist, rotting scent that came to the nose when a curious child first lifted a small log to discover what secrets might lay underneath. The memories flooded back to him. Such pleasant times those were, far removed from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Settling back into his seat, the man smiled, reminiscing in his childhood as another chunk of flesh fell from his cheek.
