We are ecstatic to be kicking off the 2022 Techgnosis Records lineup with a ferocious showing from the always-impressive Aleckat, who first made his label debut exactly 2 years ago. We celebrate this auspicious occasion with the release of 'Scritchy', a truly exceptional mini-album comprised of 5 brand new creations, with 2 of those getting a proper remix treatment from scene icons Miles From Mars and a collaborative rework from fellow Australian artists, the talented Tomchilla and Lektrk. Aleckat's signature playful-yet-serious blend of progressive and psychedelic techno is on full display here, with each piece boasting a strong thematic flavor and sound design. This is exactly what you would expect by these two wizards of the dark side, coming at you strong with two hammering cuts of bleakness.

The mechanized warfare of "Void" opens up the release, with industrial snares taking front and center. Meanwhile, the steamrolling groove never lets up and bleeding stabs lead the way to a subliminal riff that grows and mutates.

On "Halogen", we take a shadowy route with rhythmic effects providing momentum, while synths from the wormhole lead the robotic groove alongside the crisp, persistent hi hats.
