Unlike their recent Drumcode release, ‘You Know’ is a deep house killer that will appeal to new and old fans alike. Using a number of melodies within both the bass line and melodic synth that sits at the back of the mix, these two elements harmonise together smoothly and create an ear catching juxtaposition that will get the dance floor rocking before the vocal roars over the track.

For Clint's debut solo EP, there was no better way to make his mark than to bring on one of his closest friends and all around musical visionaries, Tone Of Arc. We here at Second State are thrilled to bring you our new concept entitled HUB. While most labels these days are doing various artists releases to showcase the overall talent on their label, we thought it would be better suited for both our listeners and ourselves to break the mold and bring you a series of true collaborations. Each HUB release will feature a single artist teaming up with others from the Second State family to create an EP of authentic musical compromises. A place where multiple minds find a harmony somewhere outside their own identity and each collaboration conceives a genuinely unique artifact. With this, there is no one we would rather have kick off the series than the man behind the massive EPs; 'Throwl' and 'Doch', Stephan Hinz with HUB One!

Of course it would only be right to kick off the first track of the first HUB One way. An alliance with, Pan-Pot. "Tension' is a heavy number with just a few key elements, it's a slow lurking journey through a dark forest at night. As each bush and branch is pushed aside and every step inches closer to a destination unknown, the pressure builds. Soon, without knowing, you are in the depths of a jungle with no way back and only one decision. Keep going.

Stephan and Clint Stewart united to create a cosmic journey into the outer reaches of deep space with 'Shimmer'. The longest affair of the three, 'Shimmer' is the aural embodiment of hurtling through space as you look out the window into the vast never ending blackness. Yet, when you observe the star dust and cosmos against the onyx background, the colors are that much more vibrant and surreal.

Making his debut on Drumcode in 2017 with his track ‘Fake’ featured on the A-Sides Vol 6 compilation, one of Brazil’s much loved exports Wehbba brings us his first full EP this February with ‘Eclipse’.

A no nonsense 4 track offering, and all thoroughly road tested by Adam, they have gained much support from longtime Drumcode fans. Eclipse, delivers a low end rumble along with a modulating synth line. Reigning high throughout the track, is the undeniably catchy and unique synth. Leaving this track one to be recognised on dancefloors all over the world.

‘Protocol’ doesn't turn down the pace, straight into a chugging hypnotic drive, this track leaks with attitude, along it’s eerie undertones.

Probably the most acid influenced track of the EP, ‘Glasswerk’ has a futuristic modular synth riff which thunders along a hypnotic bass line which flows nicely into ‘Framework’ to close out the EP. Its punchy and powerful kick sits alongside the cleverly crafted synth pattern, taking this track into a dark zone with a groovy element still resonant.

Carl Cox is an industry figurehead whos legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell.

Intec's new release is from UMEK who is a Slovenian artist accredited with kick-starting the techno scene in his home country, before earning critical acclaim on a global scale when he first started his career in the 90s.

Having released on labels ranging from CLR and Novamute right through to Toolroom, in recent years UMEK's own imprint "1605" has also become a main outlet for his music.

People with a good knowledge of technos history will be more than aware of the impact of UMEKs classics tracks, such as his anthemic Gatex that came out only a few years before his first Intec release in 2005.

Having also collaborated with many influential figures such as Chris Liebing and Joey Beltram, this new solo EP is UMEKs third release on Intec.

Titled Percussionix the EP opens with (Mix 1) which centres around a thick set bassline cut with filter sweeps and full of menacing intent. Leading the track is a combination of tribal percussion loops, which provide the track's main driving force.

Track two is UMEKs alternative mix of Percussionix which titled (Mix 2) has a more refined sound with the raw edges of the percussion being rounded off to smooth the sound, and its bassline is left unfiltered so it becomes more of a gradual sweep that grows with building tension.
