Jules et Tim • 'I' is for Island (April 1991)

Recorded in Bookham, Surrey.  Andrew wrote the chords & recorded it on a basic tape recorder.  I wrote words around the chord sequence & sang it back using two separate tape recorders thus dubbing my voice over Andrew's guitar.
Nothing became of this group of four songs we recorded like this at the time.  I don't even think Andrew properly heard the versions with my voice.  Indeed, he may have turned one or two in to his own songs.  I'm quite fond of these versions though.  Ever so crudely executed but I think they definitely show promise.

So this is an archive page of music processes I'd been involved in from the 20th century & maybe some early 21st century scratchy bits too.
Will include our very own Residents-like project Me Mams Dead Nice, collaborations with my old mucker Joel (we called ourselves The Love that Whirls) & Tim as well as collaborations with my brother Andrew. Other miscellaneous left-overs may feature too!

'Formed' in Bookham, Surrey in or around early 1988, mythical Marxist band Me Mam's Dead Nice would become a reality resulting in one helluva cacophonic nightmare.
Band members grew & grew, taking in one fifth of the population of Carlisle, Cumbria, eventually resulting in internal disparate disputes resulting in inevitable rupture, (or rapture) & ultimately disbandment in May 1990.
