Esta canción está inspirada en María Fauro, la señora que limpiaba en la empresa  donde yo trabajaba y de la que tengo un entrañable recuerdo por su bondad y su coraje. Está dedicada a ella y, por extensión, a todas las mujeres de la limpieza, porque creo que no se valora su trabajo como se debería.

Hemos grabado dos versiones: en la de Carmen París se siente la fuerza y el coraje, mientras  que en la de Ana López Lorente destaca el cariño y la ternura. Y las dos están repletas de una entrega y sensibilidad que consiguen emocionar. Destacar, además, el piano de José Mª Berdejo, el chelo de Pablo Baleta, las guitarras de Nacho Abril y los “polvos mágicos” del ingeniero de sonido Juan Miguel Sánchez, del estudio de grabación Sin/Con Pasiones.

In memory and celebration of my friend Ben who was a wonderful friend to so many; amazing son, brother and father; a passionate surfer and sailor who lost his life to suicide after a long battle with depression.

During the opening, characterized as Poetico quasi senza mesura (poetic and unmeasured), the e-bow is used as an ostinato - a constant sound triggered by a magnet that vibrates the piano strings. Essentially, it’s a noise that’s calming and seductive at times, but much like depression, or tinnitus, it’s an unwelcome guest. The second part, giocoso (lively and humorous), is an innocent and technical interlude that culminates in climbing adrenaline; such as surfing a giant wave. Finally, Lento Irrealmente (slow and surreal) is a free fall of reverberating, vibrations and letting go. The e-bow is not present at that moment and perhaps a sense of hope, is restored.

How many people stay in the cinema to see the credits at the end of a film? If they don’t they fail to see the dedicated bunch of people involved in making the film. What about the music that plays at the end – the outro? It may only last for a minute but it’s an essential part of the film. 
So, for all the folk that make a film happen, from the actors to the casting director, wardrobe assistant to the boom operator and best boy, this piece is dedicated to you. I hope you enjoy it.
