Emerging in 2021 from Pasadena, California, J'Bon blends house into a genre-defying sound. Raised in the United States as the son of two immigrants—his father from France and his mother, an Armenian raised in Lebanon—J'Bon grew up in a culturally diverse and musically rich household. This unique upbringing sparked an early passion for sounds from Europe and the Middle East, laying the foundation for his lifelong love of music. J'Bon began his musical journey in the fourth grade through California’s public school music programs, where he learned to play a variety of instruments. In middle school, he received his first electric guitar, leading to a deep appreciation for classic rock. He soon joined a local band, performing at school talent shows and community events—experiences that solidified his connection to live music and performance. Everything changed in 2006 when J'Bon attended his first music festival—Coachella—and witnessed Daft Punk’s legendary pyramid set. That moment ignited a lasting fascination with electronic music and the energy of festival culture. From that point on, he immersed himself in the scene, attending concerts and festivals whenever possible. In 2007, while organizing a party with friends, J'Bon got his first hands-on experience with DJing after purchasing a Hercules controller. It was a pivotal moment that introduced him to the art of mixing. Over time, his passion for performance and creativity led him back to the decks—where he continues to grow as a DJ, musician, and artist, blending his diverse musical roots into every set.
