The album is another magical piece of work that focuses on melody and rhythm, on fat bass and vivid sound design and is a truly captivating journey through the mind, music, body and soul of one of dance music’s truly modern greats. After its release, a great team of modern music makers was enlisted to remix tracks from it: Maceo Plex & Shall Ochin, Fur Coat, Extrawelt, long time musical sparring partner Marc Romboy, Pan-Pot, Max Cooper, Agents of Time, Dominik Eulberg and many more all contributed to what is an essential collection. Opening with ‘Times’, the EP gets off to a flying start as the track rages straight into top gear, rolling through 6 minutes of pure power. This is a peak time tool that is set to be heard across dance floors worldwide this year. ‘Awakened’ you may have heard from Adam Beyer’s sets of late, a firm favourite which gets his much sought after seal of approval. Rampant syths and mesmerizing vocal hooks all make it one hell of a journey. ‘Sense’ is a more industrial affair, chunky basslines take your hand through the track as it charges on. It’s that classic deep Ilario Alicante sound we all know and love. The EP finishes off on ‘Apogeo’, with its hypnotic siren tones and acute percussion. If you’ve caught a set from Adam Beyer recently, chances are you remember this track causing mayhem. ‘Your Mind’ is a banging new collaboration with Dutch talent Bart Skils, and it absolutely caught the attention of his Timewarp, Awakenings and Ultra set audiences with its haunting chorus chant.

The latest release on Clubsonica Records welcomes Kamilo Sanclemente back to the label for a brand-new EP. Long regarded as one of Colombia's foremost progressive house talents, Kamilo has found a home on Einmusika, Manual Music and Parquet Recordings, while earning continued support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J. Now fresh off a remix for ICONYC, Kamilo returns to Clubsonica for his debut artist showcase entitled 'Homeward'.

In a journey spread across three tracks it's the chunky grooves of 'Gemma' which gets things underway. Fast becoming Kamilo's trademark, it's free flowing storyboard is a delight for the senses, with the first act taking shape as a tasteful arp fades into prominence. Deeply hypnotic, the energy shifts with clustered claps and sizzling modulation, before eventually culminating in a tepid rush of crystalline melodies and airy vocal pads. 

The pure progressive house vibes continue with the EP's second selection 'People From The Future'. Kamilo's penchant for warm, contoured grooves is what makes this such a dance floor gem. Deep, rolling and with a bevy of momentum it anchors the tight rhythmic core and dulcet hooks perfectly. A lone vocal stab adds epic flair as the jangly melodies evolve, before getting washed away as a spiritual vocal initiate a classy drop and purring finale. 

The release concludes with its title and showcase piece 'Homeward' which sits as the most reflective of the three. On a backbone of pulsating bass comes acidic rhythms and symphonic pads. The smooth euphoric build is expertly executed and perfectly dialled for the dance floor as cascading arps and phasing harmonics carry through a poignant second act. Positively electric yet remarkably restrained this gentle sonic vortex culminates, before giving way to the warm, euphoric groove once more. It rounds out three stunning tracks from Kamilo, which further cements his place in the progressive house elite.

Drawing inspiration from her first worldwide tour, where life on the road was impacted by personal loss, the album title 'In a Pink Bubble' captures the essence of the artist’s mindset, caught in between the artistic world and real life: “I felt like in a pink bubble, between memories and new experiences, between darkness and colours”. Brandishing an immersive sonic sphere, the classically trained musician played and recorded all instruments throughout the album, including her favourite weapons of choice, from her beloved 60’s guitar to vintage analog synths like the Moog Sub37, Juno 106, the infamous O-B-6 synth and more.

The synesthesia of dark and colourful with new and old memories stands at the core of the album, as introspective airy tracks intertwine with more dynamic, bass-heavy constructions.

On its luminous side, we see cuts radiating with crystalline, microscoping sounds with sweeping ambience like the opener 'A Perfect Day in Tulum', leading the listener on a nervous path towards more obscure tracks such as 'Copenhagen' and 'Nothing to Lose', until bringing the atmosphere to a boiling point. 'Music is Life' encapsulates Giorgia’s passion for her craft, an intrinsic part of her life that brings peace and inspiration: “Music is life with wings, sit in the warm water, just reflecting, being”. Creation and being inspired represent another major theme present throughout the album, both in the eponymous track Inspiration, as well as 'A Temple Made by Air', where the artist can be heard singing: “Passion means satisfaction, wrong emotions create distortion, come with me to enjoy the green, stop losing time on your screen”. Channelling an overflow of emotions, a return to humanity comes as a resolution for the artist, the central idea in 'The Contact is a Cure'. Giorgia feels that, although useful, “technology is the big nightmare of our society, and we are all missing the contact with nature and human beings”. Rounding off the last part of the release, the sun-drenched Pink Bubble stands as reflective and intense, managing to transfuse the same magnetism that is quintessential to Giorgia’s live performances.

With 'In a Pink Bubble', Giorgia Angiuli refines her signature sound across a range of tempos, in a project that can be appreciated both for its intricate groundings and beautiful simplicity.
