It's kind of funny how surprising it can be when you have no real plan or specific idea when creating music.  Now I realize how this track can sound like 80's in style....though a fan of this style I never was, but I must admit I always love experimenting with these kind of sounds & instruments ;)

C'est parfois surprenant ce qu'on peut créer comme musique quand on a pas de plan ou d'idée précise.  Cette pièce sonne un peu années 80 ou dans ce style, pourtant j'ai jamais été trop fan de cette époque.  Par contre j'ai toujours aimé essayer et bidouiller ce genre de sons et instruments ;)

Voici une pièce que j'ai faite il y a un certain moment avec Gary Courtland-Miles (Anomon).  Il m'a demandé si je pouvais ajouter des orchestrations sur une de ses magnifiques pièces de piano.  Sur le thème de l'Amour et l'importance de sa place dans nos vies.

It is sometimes difficult not to simply give up and hide in your shell to protect yourself. However, you have to get out of it and continue to move forward despite the pain.


Cette douleur lancinante dans l’âme et le corps lorsqu’il est difficile de dire si on est au bon endroit au bon moment…Dans un monde ou les guerres perdurent encore, Le pouvoir et l’argent dévorent les gens.  Il est parfois difficile de ne pas tout simplement baisser les bras et se cacher dans sa carapace pour se protéger.  Il faut pourtant en sortir et continuer à avancer malgré la douleur sourde.

This piece is about all the bads things happening in the world these times. Sadness, anger and helplessness are in my heart when I see all this madness. Whether it is terrorist attacks, tension between the leaders of the great nations or war in general, we are caught between that and we can only hope that it does not touch us or our love ones...Even so, all these broken lives by some people...blinded by hatred... But I keep hope that someday, we break this cycle of violence and stop hurting each others...

Based on the book Cilka's Journey by Heather Morris

Cilka is just sixteen years old when she is taken to Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp in 1942, where the commandant immediately notices how beautiful she is. Forcibly separated from the other women prisoners, Cilka learns quickly that power, even unwillingly taken, equals survival.

When the war is over and the camp is liberated, freedom is not granted to Cilka: She is charged as a collaborator for sleeping with the enemy and sent to a Siberian prison camp. But did she really have a choice? And where do the lines of morality lie for Cilka, who was send to Auschwitz when she was still a child?

In Siberia, Cilka faces challenges both new and horribly familiar, including the unwanted attention of the guards. But when she meets a kind female doctor, Cilka is taken under her wing and begins to tend to the ill in the camp, struggling to care for them under brutal conditions.

Confronting death and terror daily, Cilka discovers a strength she never knew she had. And when she begins to tentatively form bonds and relationships in this harsh, new reality, Cilka finds that despite everything that has happened to her, there is room in her heart for love.

From child to woman, from woman to healer, Cilka's journey illuminates the resilience of the human spirit―and the will we have to survive.

Voici ma nouvelle composition.  Au début je croyais que l'ambiance resterait froide et mélancolique, mais à la fin je crois que l'esprit des fêtes m'a rattrapé...🙂  Je pense que peu importe ce qui arrive dans la vie, c'est mieux de continuer de chercher le chemin éclairé qu'en pensez-vous?!😏💖
