'With its roots in Leipzig, Bondage-Music has developed a cogent back catalogue which draws on the principles of Romanian minimalism whilst evincing a certain verve prevalent across dance floors in Berlin and further afield. Previous releases from Mihai Popoviciu, Pornbugs and NTFO, have woven a clear thread within the catalogue - a thread defined by the adroit use of distilled elements.  
Adding to this thread with the next release on Bondage-Music is the masterful producer Sascha Dive. Based in Frankfurt and with releases stretching back to 2005, Sascha Dive has earned his status as a venerated contributor to the scene and has developed a musical identity characterised by a combination of deep, moody synthesis and precise, punchy drums.
His 'Beautiful People' EP develops these tropes and - as the name would suggest - suffuses them with a lick of dub. Sunken pads, deftly woven melodies and dense subs are rendered to a lucid finish across a versatile and effective set of tools which slot neatly into the Bondage-Music catalogue.'

German producer collective Township Rebellion sign a string-heavy three tracker of deeply blissful tech house collectively titled Aviation.

Dolores kicks in with an immense groove, setting up a grandiose backdrop from the get go. Scintillating synths and spacious arrangements send the track into euphoric heights, while the punchy bassline triggers instant movement.

Lumen bears a melancholic loveliness, revealing a rumbling bass and soft, airy pads. What intensifies the mood, however, is a haunting chord progression paired with a fittingly ghostly vocal, giving the track a new dimension.

Next Life consists of a back and forth dynamic piece, making use of the 1993 classic spoken word vocal-poem “Get Up”. Its upbeat and looming style adds a sense of impending doom, amping the track’s dance appeal.

Remixes. Claude VonStroke, Audiofly and Tim Green have stepped up to produce three unique
adaptations that flow explicitly and reinvent the album tracks.
Incorporating a delectable “huh” and graceful piano, Claude VonStroke has excelled with his interpretation of
An Evidence of Time. Animating the original with an emphatic bassline and unyielding timbres, whilst paying
homage to the original with the mid-way breakdown. Audiofly have reconstructed Radian with their discernible
sound. Their remix strips down the original, migrating through hypnotic synthesis, steadily building then fading
to silence. Keeping the original kick a prominent feature, Tim Green ’s rendition of the title track Baobab shines
through. A hearty techno beat forms the basis of the minimalistic roller.
Dirtybird founder Claude VonStroke has had an incredible year with his longstanding label receiving Mixmag’s
Label of the Decade award back in July. Aside from touring the globe, Audiofly recently claimed they were
“ exactly where we want to be as djs and performers ” when the duo made their debut appearance at Burning
Man this year.

Julien Chaptal is an electronic assembly — part French electronics, part Detroit synth machine, and part Dutch minimal. 

Purpose built with a modular brain, Julien’s improvised performances are switched on, live, utterly groovy, and while pulsating with machine wiring, undeniably human.

Chaptal's latest recordings were conceived after a few too many knobs were turned on his modular system, sending Julien tumbling through time and space to capture decades worth of dance floor musical influence before returning home. The musical journey — be it on a stage, by boat, or crafted in a camper van — brings together a vast musical landscape.

Chaptal’s hypnotic tracks are an intimate look at the intricate circuitry composing the logic behind electronic music, showcasing where it has come, where it is now, and where it will travel in the future.
