Markantonio’s record label AnalyticTrail presents the first of its Black Series compilations, which showcases imprint's dark and raw side.

'Black Series I' features four peak time techno tracks by Beck And Rius, Jacopo Ghirardi and Black Synth (IT), plus one from Markantonio himself.

Based in the Naples region of Italy, Markantonio has been at the top of his country’s club scene for over two decades, and was one of the people who pioneered the genre in the now thriving local techno scene. His track "1990" gives a nod to '90s techno, and is in the dark and driving style he has previously showcased on labels ranging from Odd Recordings to Second State.

Beck And Rius are a German duo making their debut on AnalyticTrail following releases on other imprints such as Terminal M, Phobiq and Gain Records. Their stomping track "Mars Opposition" blends eerie synth textures with heavy percussion and a throbbing bassline.

Jacopo Ghirardi is from Turin, Italy and makes his debut on AnalyticTrail following music signed to The YellowHeads' Reload and Spartaque's IAMT. The sinister melodies and lurching chord changes of the tense pads combine perfectly with thrashing percussion in his track "Habitat".

Black Synth (IT) and Allexandra close out the release with their collaborative track "Remember", which blends an explosive kick drum with rippling acid tones, to deliver a slice of industrial techno with brutal energy. Allexandra is from Germany and she has previously worked with Black Synth (IT) on tracks released by DSR Digital.

JackRock, one half of Balthazar & JackRock, returns as a solo artist to deliver his latest techno EP. His four-track EP features basslines, melodies, and synths that will make anyone listening groove. 
Starting off with 'Manitou', the track offers a dark and heavy bassline that drives the entire track. Containing nostalgic electronic rave synths, 'Manitou' will work perfectly into any dancefloor. 'Irreversible' delivers a more melodic twist to techno giving the audience a complete musical journey. With a driving pluck synth throughout the whole song, 'Irreversible' gives the audience new elements to keep them hooked. 'Gaia' features a faster-paced rhythm with pristine percussion. Moreover, it contains a perfect, engaging arp melody that turns into different sounds and touches on higher or lower octaves. '24th April 2020 sees relentless Rome-based selector and label owner Frankyeffe release his Rave Alarm EP. This essential three-track project arrives as the Italian DJ/producer’s second issue on Northern Irish imprint, Misfit Music.
 
Proving himself as one of the most prolific DJs on the planet, Italian techno sensation, Frankyeffe is yet to roll back his unstoppable streak. Just three weeks after his hypnotic Hear Me EP on Coyu’s Suara, he’s back to announce his brand-new Rave Alarm project – his fourth in EP of 2020. Branded with the Belfast-based label’s trademark geometric artwork, Rave Alarm succeeds Frankyeffe’s 2019 label debut, Fire Stone EP. Frankyeffe, who also heads up his own Riot Recordings label, has previously featured on the likes of Senso Sounds, JAM, We Are The Brave, Filth On Acid, Tronic, Kraftek and Terminal M.

Re-establishing his domineering approach to dance music, title track, ‘Rave Alarm’ blasts off carrying impenetrable depth and intensity.
