I was very kindly given a recording of a Minke whale somewhere near the west coast of Australia (I believe). 

To achieve the sound I simply sped it up (a lot), filtered the lower frequencies and used noise reduction to get rid of some of the inevitable sea noise inherent in underwater mics. That's it. 

Pretty cool, I think :)
