Over the years, Oliver Koletzki has continuously cited Berlin as a point of reference and, more importantly, a source of inspiration. Two of his albums – Großstadtmärchen and Großstadtmärchen 2 – have been a direct ode to the capital. Friedrichshain, one of Berlin’s vibrant districts, has always held a special place in Oliver’s heat. This is where he started out when he first moved to the city, and this is where he lives now. Moreover, the Stil vor Talent HQ is situated in the centre of the bustling Kiez. 

So is Schneeweiss, one of Friedrichhain’s best and most loved restaurants. Over the course of eight years, the stylish eatery has impressed many a Berlin foodie with its contemporary take on alpine cuisine and attention to detail. Music is part of the experience here, which is no surprise due to one of the owners’ extensive background in Berlin’s club scene of the early days. Pairing striking award-winning interior design with a homely laid-back atmosphere, Schneeweiss welcomes everyone with open arms: Kiez locals and celebrities, students and businessmen, hipsters and families – all can be found here, Oliver Koletzki among them.

Emil Berliner hailing from Vienna makes his debut on Great Stuff with “What’s Love”. The young Austrian provides us with deep vibes and moody chords. Heavy beats and cutting edge percussion float through a sea of dreamy male vocals and avant-garde guitar licks. A perfect way to start into winter and slowly wave good bye to 2014.

Great Stuff regular Ridney presents the first remix on this fine EP. He’s brightening up the track a bit through changing the synth layers and adding super crispy hi-hat patterns on top. This gives the vocal even more room to break through in the mix. Ridney also made sure to keep to overall feel of the original alive.

Mediate from Manchester crafted remix number two. Sleek delay and reverb effect work give the vocal a brand new taste and uplifting chord progressions make their mix a future house classic!

After the huge success of last years release “It Began In Africa Vol.1” and the hit single “Bolingo Gringo” (Beatport Top 10 for 7 weeks), Juliet Sikora and Tube & Berger decided to produce the It Began in Africa Vol.2. A lot of hard work has been put into making the latest volume of the compilation.
In cooperation with The African Children‘s Choir™, 26 artists, Turntablerocker, Lützenkirchen, Dapayk, Delicious, Chris Lattner, Pirupa & Pigi, Aki Bergen aka Neuroxyde, Doomwork, Daniel Steinberg, Oliver Klein, Tube & Berger, Juliet Sikora, Gorge, Ante Perry & Kolombo, Larse, &ME, Basti Grub, Sarp Yilmaz, Nicolas Stefan, Wollion & Harada, Ismael Rivas, MSMS & SKAI, Heartik; Andhim, Krizz Luco, Rauschhaus, La Rez & Mick Zakon and Nicolas Stefan made their own interpretations of the original songs for the “IT BEGAN IN AFRICA VOL.2” charity compilation.
All profits made from the sale of this compilation will be donated to the choir and their further projects; i.e. building schemes, the founding of nurseries, and schools to help children get away from a life on the streets.
“With this project we sincerely hope to be able to support the children of Africa and empower them so that one day they will be able to help themselves”.
