On the A side, the familiar erotic boogie grooves of 'Funk So Pretty' tickle you in the purple place. On the flip, 'Free' sculpts an overlooked 80s jazz pop tune into a shimmering shuffling world beat masterpiece, and then we get down n dirty once again with Donwanchooback. Cop it and rock it. Juno: If you're going to launch a new re-edit series, it's probably wise to get some big hitters on board. That's certainly what the people behind Theme From Kaffe have done for their debut offering. Italian heavyweights Bottin lead the way with "Ora La So", a lo-slung, Clavinet-heavy chunk of dirty Balearica blessed with sleazy, whispered vocals. Sleazy McQueen continues the eccentric theme with the chugging reggae-disco bounce of "Back To Hell", before Albion ups the tempo on the dusty, vocoder-laden wonky disco chug of "Experimento". An excellent EP concludes with the sprawling soundtrack disco of Ivory Boy's "Mare" and "Bright Mezcal" by Avanti, a curiously bumpin chunk of dub disco weirdness blessed with alien synths and a brilliantly rubbery bassline.

Turbo Recordings is proud to present the kind of remix pack we’ve heard you talk about in your sleep, featuring a banging techno remix from masked man/presumed German Redshape, a 10-minute minimal epic from "techno gastronomist" Dubfire, an electro-funk jam from veteran Clone machinist Dexter, and two mixes (one vinyl, one digital) from rising Turbo star ANNA that will enrich the lives of completists everywhere.

"Super smooth groove-smiths Whiskey Disco have distilled another disco bomb here. Thoma Cher is the supplier of the good times via, firstly, the pure party gem that is "Holiday Holiday", on an EP that marks Cher's first solo outing on this label. "Dancer" is an uplifting track with a warped bassline that wraps itself round the sliding hi hats and loose drums as boogie synths add colour. "Be My Love" is an instantly recognisable gem with a fat bassline slowed to a sensuous pace overloaded with breathy vocals. Great stuff."
