Osaka-based Erik Luebs is next up for Project Mooncircle. Although we don't know much about him, this latest project has a clear M.O: Absolute Presence is all about losing connection with the physical world and exploring a much deeper place within your mind. Suitably, "Losing It" has a real meditative charm about it - wafting, airy pads suspended above fluffy percussive movements. Things get a tad grittier towards the two-minute mark, but it's more fuzzy warmth than outright scuzz.

Absolute Presence comes out worldwide on limited coloured vinyl on September 22nd.

The EP "Trapped in Time", released by the Berlin label WHATIPLAY is the first result of a cooperation between Marian Herzog and Modshape. Berlin-based like Marian Herzog, the DJ duo produces deep techno. The collaboration however, is a mix of powerful technobeats and playful melodies. The orginals "Trapped in Time" and "Keepsake" are already enticing musical works, while the "Trapped in Time" remix from label boss Sascha Braemer unites them into a wonderful release.

Die EP „Trapped in Time" ist das erste Ergebnis der Zusammenarbeit zwischen Marian Herzog und Modshape. und gleichzeitig auch das erste Release dieser Collaboration auf dem Berliner Label WHATIPLAY. Porta Alpina is the follow up to Lex, the brilliant debut EP from Transmission Collective. Featuring two original tracks from one third of the collective, Maru, along with remixes from the other two thirds, Kahwe and Wolf Cub, it further showcases the trio’s forward thinking, soulful take on house music.

Porta combines a shimmering melody with a contemporary take on old school house percussion, wound together beautifully around an infectious vocal sample – all you have to do is say yes. Second track Alpina is another slick piece of deep, dancefloor friendly house music, effortlessly blending dreamy vocal snippets with punchy percussion and some killer low end to create an absolute bomb.

On remix duties are label co-chiefs Kahwe and Wolf Cub, who remix Porta and Alpina respectively. Kahwe highlights the peak-time potential of Porta with his remix, kicking the percussion up a notch and twisting the vocal sample in the brilliant breakdown. Meanwhile Wolf Cub takes things deeper with his take on Alpina, stripping it bare before the brooding bass stabs kick back in to turn the track into a serious late night jam.
