Bassiani Podcast 134 is straight up techno for amaranthine warehouse nights. At only 26 years old, Tilburg native Julie is already playing alongside the likes of Oscar Mulero, Donato Dozzy, Marcel Dettmann, Wata Igarashi and more. Fomented by a childhood of piano lessons, her shark-like instinct for rhythm fuses together a trippy alloy of deep, exciting and stannic sounds that deftly commands a crowd both online and off. For the former, this latest episode exhibits her skill in full prime, an hour-long dispatch of pummeling mechanical basslines with a sustained tension that’s always skirting the brink.

Soma welcome Techno behemoth Monoloc for his label debut with two dark, brooding Techno tracks in his inimitable style with the ‘Gipson EP’. Monoloc was born in 1980 in Frankfurt am Main. He first got in touch with the booming electronic music scene of this Techno metropolis at the age of 16 and soon bought his first set of records. Since then, his life has revolved around his ultimate goal; manifestation of his musical vision in the form of dj sets as well as his very own productions.

Title track Gipson kicks off with deep, pumping subs and kicks with a slowing evolving atmosphere creating great tension through the body of the track. Monoloc subtly pulls back the throttle only to launch back it with bold, crashing percussion. Most definitely one for the more moody dance floor.

On the flip, Cupel starts off a little lighter but defiantly delivers a punch. Muted kicks and atmosphere provide the backdrop while delayed synths trip out over the top. Monoloc picks up the pace ever so slightly as skipping hi hats given the track more urgency before ethereal pads glisten through the heart.

Born in the southwest of France, Julius rocked his youth with many musical styles. But in the summer of 1994 everything changed! Julius discovered the world of rave and found his new musical style : Techno music. Then followed an exploration of this strange and hypnotic music, six months later acquiring turntables - the famous firsts "MK2" . He decided turn things up a gear and started to organise his own parties where he acquired huge experience playing alongside with Len Faki, Johannes Heil, Tony Rohr, Extrawelt, Audio Injection, A.Paul, Virgil Enzinger, Dustin Zahn, Monoloc and Octave. 
In 2012, Julius started composing his own music. He won the remix contest run by the owner of Neverending Records, Citizen Kain. Then he made a second remix based on an original track from Microcheep &amp; Mollo for Pragmatik Recording. Now he focuses on creating his own style full of minimal dark sounds.
