Inspired by a dear friend who deserved a long holiday.

Wrote a demo of this tune more than a year ago, but recently mastered the track after recording live improvised "sailing" audio -- water, wind, birds -- in February 2024. 

Hope you enjoy this 4-minute invitation to relax and daydream.

Synth guitars with echo and reverb, bass, harp, cellos, and "sailing" sounds with Latin and hip hop beats at a very chill 65 bpm.

The lyrics are from the Pablo Neruda poem "Para Que Tú Me Oigas"" in the book "Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair". Translated by W.S Merwin. Permission has been granted by Fundación Pablo Neruda.

   A song that rocked my late teens; I've always loved the lyrics, the "Kenloachian" video, Jimmy Somerville's voice and the melody, but much less the synthetic arrangements and 80s production. It's a world far removed from our own, so we've freely reinterpreted the song in our own way...

Julius Granell from Barcelona, Spain, born in july. It has been 13 years that he lives on the Island of El Hierro, Canary Islands.
There, his life and music is inspired by nature, people and animals of this region. In his home studio he works on sounds , develops and records them.
His musical evolution is based on strings and their fascinating behaviour.
After having played in several bands in Barcelona, he nowadays creates his sounds, primarily ambient, in solitary.
