Born on a day dedicated to celebrating love, Jason Heat's journey began amidst the harmonious beats of music and the serendipitous meeting of his parents on the dance floor of a discotheque. It was a union that would set the stage for his lifelong love affair with music.

From an early age, the rhythm of music coursed through his veins. At the tender age of 10, Jason Heat received his first mixtape, a precious gift from his uncle who had experienced the magic of Bocaccio. As the tape played, it ignited a fire within him, a passion that would shape his destiny. He knew then, with unwavering certainty, that his future lay in the art of DJing.

Throughout his journey, Jason Heat has been in a constant state of evolution, much like the ever-changing landscape of sound. He has delved into an eclectic array of musical styles, drawing inspiration from the diverse cultures and melodies that span the globe. For him, the world itself serves as a boundless wellspring of creativity and expression.

His mixes are a testament to his deep-rooted connection to music, weaving together layers of sound that are both profound and unconventional. With each beat, he transports his audience on a transcendent journey, captivating their minds and souls in a mesmerizing dance of euphoria.

HAFT, the Iranian duo of Sam Nasehi and Amir Subb, are known for fusing hypnotic synths, deep- rooted pads, and intricate percussion into a sound that bridges traditional textures with modern progressive house. Their debut three-track EP on Balance Music delivers a journey filled with psychedelic undercurrents and shimmering atmospheres that is crafted equally for the dance floor and for deep listening.

The brooding ‘Driftor’ is designed to nudge any DJ set in the right direction. An off-beat bass drives the engine, allowing you to comfortably sit in the pocket of its inviting narrative. Steely drums and percussion form a cohesive frame, while a bag of tasteful effects, samples, and stabs fill the remaining spaces. Once the breakdown hits, in all its subtlety, you know you’re in the hands of professionals. This is essential prog, designed for any occasion.

There is an undercurrent of psychedelia running through ‘Myntal’, hypnotic and consuming. Low- end frequencies double as notes, merging with the bass to create a dizzying effect. Its main-room identity, however, is confirmed by drums that strut forward with propulsive energy. It all points towards a seductive breakdown, its layering teasing a drop that confirms it: this is designed for floors ready to ignite.

Filled with depth, ‘Prism’ shimmers and shakes as synths and stabs perpetually morph. The result is a continuous stream of sonic moments to lose yourself in. Thankfully, the dense bassline and drums bring you back from the edge of hypnosis, filling the space with an elastic energy as buoyant as a trampoline. Then comes the breakdown: bells dissolve into minor-key haze, half beautiful, half surreal: an inviting dream-logic that is hard to deny.
